Download the IE11 Pack from OP Download link and use Intergrate IE11 from Integrate Menu and to integrate IE11 updates choose Integrate IE11 Updates from Integrate WHD Additional Updates.
looks like RS2 RTM is about to appear and I've become so reliant on this toolkit to remove components
I have started cleaning up ToolKit script code from scratch and now I'm at the Integrate Apps section. While Code Cleaning, I'm also fixing and adding new features at each level, so wait for sometime for the new version and until then you can use the current version, which does work with RS2. Only thing is you should integrate Win32Calc with the new version.
current version can't do all-components removal though right? as well as metro apps removal or can it?
Tried MSMG Toolkit v6.9 on 15063 enterprise to remove all the apps and components, worked just fine. Integrating NetFx 3.5 and directx9c stuff also worked well.
The current version can remove all RS2 Apps and Components which is sufficent for average users, it's only the packs that get's affected. For removing newer components, you need to wait for the new release.
Just wanted to alert people who remove Windows Defender from the image. As it turned out, some AV vendors, notably Avira, integrate with the Defender service. If you remove Defender from the image, Avira will not work correctly anymore, the realtime protection won't start. This may or may not be a stupid move from Avira, but I think it has to do with the upcoming Creators Update where we will see "Defender Security Center". Avira, as always over-engineering its products, could have prepared the last two versions for that matter. I still have to bake me an image with Defender included to test this, but I figured this out yesterday. Removing Defender is a bad idea, will try only disabling it the next time. Above should apply to Pro, Enterprise or EnterpriseS versions. Cheers.
I've removed Windows Defender on Windows 10 Pro Build 15063 and haven't faced any problems. I use Avast Free Antivirus & Malwarebytes Premium.
Ah ! Thanks for advice. I was wondering why Avira free did not configure properly on a recent installation, after deleting windows defender from an Enterprise 1607 version. It's a shame to see an Antivirus company integrating their own code into Windows.
Also had success with MSMG Toolkit v6.9 on 15063 Pro All seems good including Win32Calc! and DotNet3.5 I don't use Deduplication...
Thank you for confirming this for me. As I have had to have the people who used my v1607 baked ISO for their fresh installs to switch AV. I'm still using a baked v1511 ISO that has since been upgraded to v1607 and Avira still works properly for me and I will note that I did indeed remove Windows Defender in v1511.
Correct. But I need to expand on the issue. Let's say you removed Defender from 1511 image. That image was used to install w10 on client PC's. At some point in 2016, you got the 1607 update pushed. What happened is that Windows Defender got reinstalled, as that update is actually a fresh install with imported settings and programs. That is why, on your w10 1607, Avira still works. Exactly the same happened to me also. I got a lot of complaints from people that Avira (after it updated to .154 version) stopped working. I had to migrate them all to Bitdefender. But I rather use Avira. There is absolutely no way I could contact Avira about this issue. They jus ignored the whole issue. Cheers.
