No, before, else you would need to rebuild again after deleting the indexes you don't want.

Could you tell me when, exactly? I read the README.txt file to see the order I should follow when using MSMG ToolKit and I can't find the part regarding indexes. Maybe I should do it before cleaning the source image and after integrating updates, removing components and customizing the start menu.

Also, right after running MSMG ToolKit, should I mount Windows Setup Boot Image and/or Windows Recovery image and when integrating updates, should I select the "Integrate Windows Updates" setting or the "Integrate WHD Update Pack" one, and if the latter, should I choose the "Integrate WHD General Updates" setting or the "Integrate Windows Setup Media Updates" one, and if the former, should I click on the "Integrate to Windows Setup Boot Image" setting, on the "Integrate to Windows Setup Install Image" one, on the "Integrate to Windows Setup Install & Recovery Image" one or on the "Integrate to Windows Setup Install Boot, Install & Recovery Image" one?

Tested with 19041.208 (20H1 / 2004) and did not receive any SFC errors - I believe this is because Windows Updates (SSU + CU) were not integrated.

    x86 ISO: 19041.208.200417-1735.VB_RELEASE_SVC_IM_CLIENTMULTI_X86FRE_EN-GB.ISO
    x64 ISO:
    19041.208.200417-1904.VB_RELEASE_SVC_IM_CLIENTMULTI_X64FRE_EN-GB.ISO

    Extract ISO (1 > 3)

Select source (1 > 1) (also mount boot and recovery images)

    Integrate Win32 calculator (3 > 3 > C)

    Remove using RemovePkgsList.txt (4 > 3)

Tweaks for Task View, App Downloads, Photo Viewer (5 > 8 > B/D/J)

    Cleanup (6 > 1)

    Apply changes to image (6 > 2 > Y)

    Rebuild (6 > 1)

    Convert WIM to ESD (2 > 4)

    Make ISO (7 > 1)

FFS, it cleans up the [DELETED] folder, inside the wim, filled with leftovers from the servicing done to it, thus decreasing the size of the wim files.

But I've been using it for some time and it never decreased the size of the WIM files, just the contrary, and when should I remove the indexes which apparently actually decrease the ISO size unlike this rebuild image setting?

Rebuilding never can increase the size...

But that's what I'm telling you since the beginning. If it's not its fault, at least the size always increases a lot after using the cleanup source images, the apply & save changes to source images and the rebuild source images settings. Maybe it's the first two mentioned settings' fault or just one of the two and not the rebuild source image setting's fault.

Then you have only one option to convert the image to ESD.

Internet, Multimedia and Privacy components are not added for removal for v2004, yesterday' s update only removes Remoting, System, SystemApps and WindowsApps categories.

You can either user the CustomStartMenu Layout or the registry import method to do the taskbar pinning items.

It's your choice to if you want to mount the boot or recovery images, choose yes if you are integrating features/updates to them

If you follow WHD updates repo then choose Integrate WHD Updates Pack menu, if not then choose the Integrate Windows Updates menu.

Integrate Windows Updates menu don't follow the proper order while integrating the updates.

All components expect Windows apps do get returned, since you have integrated the latest CU and removed the components so you are not seeing any component returned, when you install new CU it will be back.

But the image size wasn't increasing before and I wasn't even converting to ESD like currently.

Could you tell me which part of the w10_CustomStartMenuLayout.xml file has to do with the taskar items? How can I remove the Search Box and Cortana as well as the Start Menu's Pictures folder shortcut and the desktop's old Edge shortcut?

What's the difference between the boot and recovery images? When you talk about the latter, are you referring to the image that can only repair Windows problems (if so, the former also has repairing capabilities)? If so, I don't even understand how integrating updates on it could help with repairing Windows.

But like you said, the "Integrate Windows Updates" setting doesn't follow the right order unlike the "Integrate WHD Updates Pack" setting. May I have any problem if I keep on using this setting even (I downloaded the updates from Windows 10 Hotfix Repository)?

OK, but I thought they would return without even installing the updates since I integrated them.

EDIT: I don't know if this is OK but the "Advanced Startup" feature doesn't appear below the "Reset this PC" one on a VM after removing components with MSMG ToolKit.
