ingviowarr 50gb on new account creation & after 1 month only 15gb per acc https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/75930
Are you referring to Cortana getting returned after an update is installed, if yes then it's a known issue. And FYI The Toolkit only removes Cortana and not the Search.
Yes checked with the rubbish bin it's clear, as @LostED said here, the 50 GB free space on new accounts gets reduced to 15GB after a month. My First and old free account is still having 50 GB free space, only the new ones gets reduced.
Ok, This didn't seem to work. 1809 Enterprise x64. Despite me telling my son never to click "check for updates" he did. And almost bricked his system again. I spent two months getting his installation perfected and he almost wiped it out in 10 seconds. As soon as he clicked update it started to download 1903. I managed to stop it and clear the download. Other than completely disabling Windows Update is there any other way to prevent feature updates?
I built an 1809 image with toolkit v10.1. I removed Windows Defender. Without recreating a new image with Defender intact, is it possible to reinstall the defender package, and if so where would I find the package files? Thought I saw a post here about it, but can't find it.
@Yanta 1) Windows Update Blocker (by Sordum) - Discussed here Very easy to use. 100% works. 2) I'm also always remove Defender and can't recommend it. May be have a look at Comodo Internet Security Premium (CIS) ? It's free, have an Antivirus, Firewall and many other things inside. But it's a bit complicated complex product. Learning how to use Firewall (users experience, reviews) is a must...
Hi, It was working well a few months ago, the problem comes from Nsudo I think. I tried all versions from 8 to 10. Enterprise 1909. D:\Apps\MSMG
Hey, thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I saw that recently. I was hoping for something that could block feature updates only, as office updates are still needed. But it looks like it's going to be everything or nothing. Anyway, he has taken his PC back to his place so I no longer have access to it. About a year ago I did an analysis of about a dozen A/V programs. I'm sorry to say, based on my criteria (resource usage, ease of use, amount of data collection, install size and so on), that Comodo came in 3rd last. AVG and Avast were the worst. He wants Defender. Nothing else. He is very stubborn. So, if there is a way to install this package I'd love to know about it. I figured since it could be removed then it could be installed, but perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree.
You may try the Windows Update MiniTool which allows you to search, install, and block Windows updates as you please.
