While creating Packs for RS2, I just added the WSL, Multimedia Restricted Codecs Pack too, In case if any user removes these packages and needs it back to add.
I didn't get your question, are you referring to Remove Metro Apps Association. Remove Metro Apps Association is used to remove all the Metro Apps Association If you remove any Metro App then it will remove it's association automatically, But if you want to keep the App and also remove it's association then use this menu.
Thank You! Just a quick question, if i remove some windows components lets say "HomeGroup" for example, can i later add it back on my online system?
The ToolKit fully works only upto the current Release Build i.e RS2, for Insider Preview Builds you have to wait until I do work on it. Remove Apps/Components some times do leave the Tile which needs manual unpinning since I haven't found no command still to unpin a Tile shortcut in a offline image.
The defaultuser0 problem exists from the release of 14393 on all editions. The MRP has a solution script build-in for it and in the 14393 and 15063 sticky threads a manual solution is posted. You can add it using the package files but if you had applied update then you may have to reapply the update in order to update the packages you may be adding back.
Updated ToolKit to v7.1 Changelog v7.1 + Fixed a Bug in the Feature "Remove Windows Components", Where Removing Windows Defender Component Would Give File/Folder Deletion Errors for Windows 10 Redstone 2 Source OS.
Work great with Defender fix (Sublime Text 3). Sorry for Frenglish : When the PC restarts I sometimes have to restart my screen otherwise I have a green screen (I'm 99% sure that it comes from the Creator Update). The software is great but it would be nice to add an option to remove everything for all categories and so that the size is reduced without going through wimlib-imagex. Thanks again.
Adding Remove Everything for All categories will double the code size due to using the same code multiple times and now itself the script size is around 1.5MB. or else I have to split the ToolKit and Remove Components code and give a call to the Remove Components code from the Toolkit's main script file, this may reduce the code size too, let me see when I do get time will workout a plan for it.
MSMG: Small info: "rem call :SetMediaPlayerAsDefaultPlayer" rem no ideal. SetMediaPlayerAsDefaultPlayer = "Reg add" (useless) + ImportDefaultAppAssociations (no useless)
The sad news is that starting RS3 the component removal will be more difficult and the current package removal method will not be helpful as MS has made it more difficult by merging more components. I will have to work out a new mechanism to remove components using direct file/folder/registry/tasks deletion method by reading the manifest files from either RS3 main packages and get the list of files/folders/registry/tasks to be deleted.
I was just testing with that registry duplication by disabling the call to it and forgot to remove it, I need to further test to know whether without those registry entries the WMP association is still working or not.
i have checked the the sha1 from isos and everything i okay , i dont know is of integrating o removing something
