Is there a downside for those of us who are using ISO made with errors during Windows Defender removal? Are there related packages we should/could remove related to Windows Defender that MSMG could not remove???
both iso I made with 7.0 and 7.1 toolkit with everything removed including Defender seem to break the Start menu when pinning programs to it - it pins it to the list menu instead and anything pinned on the Start menu through right click disappears at the next boot.
Microsoft has to always make things harder. You never know it might get easier by the time it get released in September.
Will I get updates for the components I removed with this tool (Windows Defender) through Windows Update?
There is a problem integrating DaRT with both 7.0, and 7.1. I moved v6.9 command to 7.1 folder, mounted, and DaRT integrated fine. I do not have the error codes, but there was a problem with unpacking some of the DaRT files. If you copy the DaRT code from 6.9 to 7.1 you should be fine I would expect. This is for Windows 10 I should mention build 16184. This error is not build specific as I accomplished the task with the old command simply pasted in the 7.1 folder. Again. I mounted wim with 6.9 command, and integrated DaRT without any issue at all, but with the 7.0 and 7.1 command it failed in some of the unpacking and applying steps.
4->1 - Remove Store App, removes the App. 4->3->2 - Remove Store Client, removes the back-end client required for the App. So, you need to remove both the packages in order to remove the store completely.
Only Win32Calc x64 Base Pack has been leaked so far and I'm making a 32-bit pack using the 32-bit files present in the 64-bit Pack and will add it in the next release.
The error was related to post package removal to remove the junk files, but now I have fixed it in the v7.1
