@MSMG got some feedback while integrating the newer metro apps in 21H1. Typo on 8859 & 8875, should be "ZuneMusic_License" instead of "ZuneVideo_License". "Skype_Appx" & "StickyNotes_Appx" should be "Skype_Msix" & "StickyNotes_Msix" and "msixbundle" on 8683 & 8686; as only msixbundle available for newer version for these. Missing "Microsoft.AV1VideoExtension_8wekyb3d8bbwe.x86.xml" file on your mega.nz pack folder.
Question, What is the difference between removing stuff using MSMG toolkit on the iso level and removing stuff with powershell after install apart from: It's possible It saves time After update it comes back unless you remove it again As an added question i'm wondering if MSMG toolkit can do something that can't be done after install
- ZuneMusic_License fixed. - Added support for integrating apps packaged as .msixbundle format. - Microsoft.AV1VideoExtension_8wekyb3d8bbwe.x86.xml will be added when it's available.
The Toolkit manually removes the components (regular packages, system apps and provisioned windows apps) where as the PowerShell script uses the DISM Cmdlet functions to remove the system apps and provisioned windows apps. Due to the change in Microsoft's update format the removed components are restored when the system is updated and it's difficult to stop the components being returned. The only possible solution is to stop using Windows Update, manually patch the cumulative update and then install it. The research is going on with this method so far only partially succeeded.
