Query Tool v47.0 is in progress too Fixing a few little glitches, well not actually problems as such just bits appearing when they should not under the Summary section if a MSDM brand is not in the database. MRP will have the new PEAQ brand added, just testing to make sure the brand all works. ---------- Regarding the SSD/Mode not being detected properly, have re-checked the code and the system calls used to obtain that information... Nothing is out of place and the values returned are what the OS/BIOS/Hardware give back. So i am unsure what is happening there. I know on some hardware/BIOS's the returned data for AHCI/IDE can get confused but this is on older motherboards where the AHCI is not 100% implemented. NForce chipsets for one i know AHCI does not always work as expected and IDE seems to be the preferred working mode, more so for Windows 8.x/10 installs. I cannot test my NForce PC now as that has gave up working, (too much hammering!).
A friend has a Toshiba Notebook and his HDD just died, he said it had 8.1 OS but he doesn't remember wich edition, I'm going to help him reinstalling 8.1 on a new HDD but I need to know if it was Pro, Core or Core Single Lang, Tried to run Query Tool from a Win7x64PE to find Serial on Bios and edition, but it do not run properly, Any ideas?
Use QT from within Windows and it'll work Otherwise I think you can look under the laptop, inside battery compartment, EFI to find the key and identify version? Can you clone the HDD to another drive and start it? Whats not working?
When you sell a copy of windows and you are not authorized to do so and have no license then you make money with pirated software. It doesn't matter what's the margin. When you use works from MDL and/or you are officially asking for support then you abuse the works and you do violate our rules. You have been warned with a reminder! No more word/request for support about in any MDL forum, thank you. Yen
not at present. There is a tool that can use the OEM's.7z to put all the logo's/wallpapers in place. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/system-brand-changer-v1-2-1.35653/ I think it still works, as i not changed any files that would cause that tool to break. As for activation that would need to be done manually, either by Daz's Loader to insert the cert/serial (vista/7/servers) or via a command prompt using slmgr to insert the SLP-Key and certificate. Or for W8.x/10 inserting the MSDM key (if it not been done via the Windows Setup) via a command prompt and slmgr commands. *edit* reading through that thread it seems it may not support later than the first Win 10 May put together something at some stage as a separate 'project' to do the logo/wallpaper insertion & activation.... Will see how much time i have.
Shoudnt be too diffiicult? An extension of QT, a simple question? (Would you like to apply <brand>?) Well, dont put too much effort into it just yet
hi yen, thanks for your reply here....i'm not writing here to get any support from authors here.but since you have warned me on the basis of rules and principles, i think i need to put my views here to tell my side. the rules and principles you have quoted may apply in a developed country but it doesn't have any relevance in 3rd world countries.the situation here is worse and people have little money to spend.over 80% people dont have broadband connection for big data transfer and main source of internet for people comes from mobile cellular data. so whenever they need big files they simply go to nearest shop to buy dirt cheap big data files like movies and windows and some prefer dvds. yen you have accused me of being a pirate and banned me. okay fine no problem. but just imagine what those people suppose to do who dont have money to own a broadband and cant download themselves free material available on torrent and sites.tell me what more than half a billion people suppose to do?they will be completely helpless if people like me are not there, have you ever think about that? your rules dont have any practical relevance here. some member who banned me told me to sell licenced original dvds. now do you really think its a good advice where people dont have money for basic broadband and i'm suppose to sell them way out expensive dvds? so please until you guys find a solution what those more than half a billion people suppose to do, pls dont look at me like i'm a bad person here.i'm aware that dev at mdl do hard work to make a software and its not fine to use their software without compensating them. for that i'm requesting authors here to make a donate button so people like me can support them. but its your place and you will decide how to run things here, mdl and its people dont want to be a part of it,i totally respect that, and i've no problem..it is my last post. gud bye...
They don't have to. They apply to anything related to the mdl domain. It's not different to your home rules like take off your shoes when coming in. This would not mean you can use then their works for selling. You can stay, just stay conform to our rules. This applies to any member not only to yourself.
I was thinking along those lines But it may be better for a separate program as the QT is getting quite complex as it is lol. Plus being a separate entity it would be easier to maintain, not that it would really need much attention unless m$ changes the way the theme stuff all works. One thing it would not support Vista or Server 2008 (using the Vista kernel) as the DLL injection can be problematic at times. But for Windows 7 onward it will be covered. Will have a talk with Alphawaves first

MRP 82.0 is coming along nicely - at Test 10 stage. Have examined most of the code and removed about 80 lines that are no longer needed because I have optimized other parts. The removed lines are to do with the user options parsing section only. Added PEAQ brand files to the OEM's.7z and tested the branding, Enthousiast has too on the actual laptop. Also tweaked the CustomTheme section's error messages to say if a brand folder or files within are missing/incorrectly named etc. PID.txt section works and shows the partial key used - all supported OS's. Only shows if you use the PID.txt otherwise standard 'Not Present' line. Updated Samsung and HP wallpapers. The old ones are still there renamed as wallpaper1.jpg etc. Few other bits and pieces done nothing exciting to mention. Updated ConfigCreator to v2.2 to cover the PEAQ brand. No other changes made. QT47.0 is in test 6 progress stage too. Update to the MSDM section for brand name finding. The QT is almost ready to release. Release date for MRP 82.0 - soon.
Query Tool v47.0 has been uploaded and 2nd post download link has been updated and the new password. Spoiler: Quick Summary + Added note on screen at start about Disk and CPU spikes during running of the QT this is normal. + Added a new SSD/HDD detection program. If should show SSD or HDD or if something has gone a bit strange then Undefined will show as a failsafe. Hopefully it works. + Enhanced the MSDM detection/parse routines. Should detect them easier now... + Added PEAQ brand into the database so that it now detects that brands DMI. + A few little rewrites to output text, no longer shows the act# as it usually #11 anyway and with the new MSDM routine it could confuse that line so removed the text. Note a few routines are experiental still and may return incorrect results, however this is the data returned by the Device/OS being queried and it may just be random data. Nothing i can do about that at present. File size is larger due to the new additions of code and the new SSD/HDD program. All A/V detection's are false-positive, it's either the way it is compiled or the programs used within the QT's folder that they not like.
MRP 82.0 reached T10 stage and all parts working as intended. Just finalizing the code and removing the test bits. So Baseline will be very soon, maybe later today or early tomorrow sometime.
