Any updates on what's the scene now? Like what is the software progress, slic tech and what one should do be up-dated if one almost was rejuvenated after three years of death :p

Well what do you want to know?
This tool is for AMI BIOS and we have now UEFI. There are also tools who can decompose UEFI.

And since W8 there is no SLIC anymore to activate, except OEM server editions.

Latest SLIC is v2.5. It's supposed to activate Server 2019 SLP OEM.
I know that v2.4 can activate Windows Server 2016 SLP OEM.

If you want to know what's current tech just watch the BIOS mod forum. Serg008 is still doing a lot. BIOS modding is not dead. :)

Hi. Thanks for all the great tools and work posted on this site for these kinds of topics. I have used many of the modding tools on here to great success and sustained usage of the machines they were performed on. It has been many years now and I find myself trying to mod the bios of an old Lenovo Y510 to slic 2.1 since even a simple web browser does not support XP or Vista any longer. I used AMI Tool 1.63 to mod the newest available bios using SSV2 which failed, but using SSV3 it appeared to succeed. It flashed fine and did a clean install of Win7, but it will not activate. Using SLIC 2.1 to view, the slic table was successfully updated to 2.1, the problem appears to be with the PubKey.

Can someone please lead me in the right direction to hopefully succeed, and preferably without having to read the entire forum. I have seen an old post of someone else trying to mod the same bios and having difficulties, but never received any replies to guide them forward either.

    Thanks for any help.
