By Fx module I meant x=variable. (Asus always uses FC but other bioses might be F0, etc.)

    Hi,

Is this tool considering the bioses that already having SLIC2.0?

Because I tried it on HP desktop bios for HP 6422.

When I select dynamic mod the resulted bios was having only SLIC2.0.
When i selected SSv2/3 mod the resulted bios was having both SLIC2.0 & 2.1

Any solution for that or this bios is only different as Yen mentioned in previous post.

    Regards

Hi, can anyone clarify me please.
I have this original BIOS 'file' which contain a 2.0 SLIC.
Now, if I want a 2.1 SLIC in it. What do I have to do?

Should I use this tool to add a 2.1 SLIC to the file? And will it replace the old 2.0 SLIC in the file completely?

    Thanks,

Had to rewrite the core 7 SSV2 code to use LHA to compress. The only space available was after the AMIBIOSC header - the NVRAM space - or a small gap at the start. The first mod put it in the NVRAM (which for MSI is normally OK), the second in the space at the start. With the current version I had to tick use lha and manual address of 10 from the options page. Given your success - which is the first proven ssv2 core 7 mod, also proves for AMI that padding works, I will change a couple of options in the next version so it should work automatically.

    Thanks :D

outstanding, yep it worked perfectly, i first just used everest to check but later today i installed and activated vista successfully.. thanks heaps for this and by the look of it this is going to improve the tool also to mod these odd boards. I've tried to mod this board many times and other modders here have failed in the past so I was very surprised it worked.

I just gave an attempt at modding it and you were correct, lha ssv2 with manual location of 10 works, but how would we know to use what location without being a mod guru? :) are you able to make it auto detect the right location?
