    Many thanks for reply, but if you open 8TX_SLIC.F8 with winhex there is Gigabyte string but not GIGABYTE, and oembios Gigabyte is for GIGABYTE string.
    If it is case sensitive .....and it is.

    An idea ?

    The SLP string is compressed in the 02 module. Compare 02.BIN and 02_SLIC.BIN

    Hi,

    My friend has a Asus notebook with Ami bios. I would like to help him on this.
    I downloaded the bios from Asus official site.
    When I run this tool, I got a error message - "Boot block checksum not valid".
    Could someone tell me how to fix this problem?

    Click in the advanced to ignore all checksum and module 80 warnings..
