The update in 1.06 was for SSV3 to give us the option to move the EPA to the end unchanged instead of shrinking it, for those who like to see the EPA logo. No oem module is added.
both the links to the 1.06 i can not get the file. first link i can not access, second link i can not find the downlaod link. but the second link for ami tools i can find the download link.
It doesn't seem to matter what Advanced flags I set, I can't stop 1.06 from shrinking the EPA logo using SSV3 and SLIC (with or without SLP). Is there a trick to this?
Unless I did something wrong, in advanced tick options under ssv3 tick force method and select epa at end from drop down box. Andy
Interesting, Yen. I didn't realize Dell was using Award bios in some of their models. Thanks for the info!
Yes, it's worth to check for that. Dell Vostro 200 / 400 / 410 and Inspiron 530 /530s have got Award.
Try this: v1.07 ADD: Ability to recognise and process Dell Award BIOSes FIX: SSV3 SLP only mod still shrank EPA module Andy
Yes, I agree with Yen. Andy, you are doing a masterful job with your Award & AMI tools, please keep it going. We will help you as much as possible with testing. I'm sure everyone here appreciates your talent and your hard work!!!
Yes Very Happy Updated bios adding DELL SLIC2.1 windows still activated. Andyp's tools a brilliant had to make bootable usbdrive to flash used a bat file. Code: @ECHO OFF awdflash.exe 713D1P53.bin /py/sn/cc iv'e uploaded RW-everything ACPI report. P.S.i didnt add slp for xp it wasnt altered and is still present
Yes Andyp, Great work it was dell inspiron 530 latest bios i couldn't use the winflash tool that comes with bios it wouldn't update it because it said it was same version and it wont let you flash older version either but awdflash.exe done it from dos.
They are available to you to add at will. Why worry about what is included in the tool? The SLIC.BIN will work, There are 8 v2.1 slic files and 40+ 2.0 slic files. You can use any of them in the tool. I dont understand the reason for asking the question..
When the author of a program leaves something out from a previous version, there is some reason to it...at least logically it says that....so, why was it left out, when in previous versions it was there most of the time?
