Wow, I will try that :) Thanks.

After restoring with the recovery disk, it's already activated. What I meant was if I use an oem xp install cd instead of recovery cd, since recovery cd still has those bloatwares, that's when I need to use the key from the sticker.

    UPDATE:

I tried to mount it and I noticed that the wim file is already an installed xp image file so I'm not sure how to open the winnt.sif file. I have yet to try the Magic Jelly Bean key finder.

Open WINNT.SIF with notepad. It's a text setup file for unattended install.

Yup, I know but as I said, the contents of the XPIMG.WIM is an already installed xp image file so there's no more i386 folder where the winnt.sif is located. I need to use the Magic Jelly Bean key finder since it's already an activated system.

Pretty simple really if you just do some research and read a few of the threads here. A good number of them talk about the location "SOURCES\$OEM$\$$\SYSTEM32\OEM" on the DVD. That is your jackpot.

Yes, Tibet is located on the Tibetan Plateau, the world's highest region.

Even though I've got the original Tibetan Flag as my Avatar right now, I'm not Tibetan:)

    But that's offtopic here.

This thread is about a new HP SLIC, nothing more.
If you want to know more about, please PM me.:)

Why is this table attached is v2.0?

I am confused, how come we cannot change the XSDT and RSDT? It seems we always have to match the pubkey and market against the (read only) XSDT and RSDT?

or what I said is not true?

you mean Windows 7 ?? The slic is from a hp with vista ultimate.
If that's true that's great then.
