    Hi all,

I was running activated with an OEM SLIC modified BIOS and the asus cert file to activate it, but my motherboard died so I replaced it with the same model, flashed it with the same SLIC edited bios, verified its presence with Everest, but now it says I have 15 days to activate. Is there a method or any series of commands I need to do to tell it to reactivate. I'm hoping to not have to reinstall vista and all my programs.

    Thanks

    Turn off UAC

    slmgr -rilc
    slmgr -rearm then reboot machine
    slmgr -ilc C:\asus.xrm-ms
    slmgr -ipk key

Wait for response after applying each command. -ato command is NOT used at SLP2.0 activation steps!!!

Ya that didn't work, I tried changing my MAC address of the new NIC but that didn't work either, I think that's what ties my old mobo to the license, I will likely have to reinstall.

I ended up reinstalling from scratch, it worked and I'm activated now.

    Thanks for the suggestions though.
