Apart from the issue with clicking on the network icon which I completely agree with and should have just been left as it was in 7, I find your comments very short sighted. I think you need to open your mind and look at the bigger picture. I think you've dis-regarded the new Metro UI and are looking for changes in the old. Desktop is legacy and is just an app representative of the old UI, it should indeed be reminiscent of windows 7. Like XP mode on 7, this isn't much different. Although aesthetic changes are pleasing and refreshing they don't make a new OS. If you wanted a new car and I gave it a paint job you wouldn't think it was new, would you? The new start screen replaces the start menu not the charm bar! I think most people are looking for a clear and simple way of doing things. This will be the case if users and developers truly embrace the new Metro UI.
Yeah! Concerning me, yes. Concerning some others I don't know. You will lose your face if you should have lied. May I remind you to advertise other forums is only allowed if the admin over there leaks w8 beta Please re-read the bold quoted words.
Nice Hope the review is out tonight. Really looking forward to it! Canouna, are there any other new icons?
Canouna...when Windows 8 Beta will be available to the public....how much time we will have to play with?
He explained that 8220 still boots in name of WDP, the video is just to show how fast it boots on a SSD. Also, AFAIK, Yen & Jayblok are the 2 top win8 fans in MDL.(you decide if is is sar*****)
Haha.. 'Downgraded'?? What OS are you using then? Windows 10? I have a general question: At what stage will we get to see the official Windows 8 logo, SKUs, branding etc? RC?
Has the boot-manager changed at all. From the WDP metro version that booted into Windows 8 and if you selected Win 8, it goes to login. If you select Windows 7 it has to reboot. Has this been changed at all?
