LOL, btw, about this U.S. resident thing in WinStore Competition, it didn't say "U.S. Citizen"....my gal uses shipito.com and get s U.S. mailing address, just place a USD8.50 deposit(refundable), she uses it to buy things only sellable to U.S. residents, if MS only needs a U.S. address, that could do the trick.
Well, I should not take that site so seriously and even talked tech stuff to then ...... OK, bad jokes. lets forget that and move on.
If you are very good at this field, you don't need to enter the competition, they'll come to get you and waive all the requirements. Many big companies - Google, MS, IBM, Big 4, they go to universities to select and hire the best students even before they graduate, or pay many times the salaries to lure talents from other companies.
Windows Defender Offline is a strange tool!!! I have a VM with Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 freshly installed... It has Antivirus and Antispyware definition version 1.0.0.0 (comes by default) in the built-in Windows Defender! Today I created a bootable CD of Windows Defender Offline containing 1.117.718.0 as the definition version. Upon booting the VM with this CD, strangely, the Windows Defender Offline says 'Virus and spyware definitions are out of date', even though it has the latest definition(1.117.718.0)!
Sorry, I'm in Win7 right now burning a DVD but, tomorrow, I'll let you know what the latest Defender version I have is. However, I expect someone here will verify prior to me getting back to you. I dual boot so my results may vary from yours but they shouldn't.
