We know the Consumer Preview build - "6.2.8277.0.winmain_win8beta.120207-1851", we've seen quite a few screenshots, we know the preinstalled apps we'll get with the WCP, we know the games that will be available on the Windows Store... I don't think there's anything left to enquire about now; I guess the only thing left is to try our hands on the Consumer Preview... But damn it, 29 is way too far away
That's just topic with all known buildstrings, nothing new. Posted strings are from WZor (zASCOk), two days old.
Actually, I like both of them, but I hate them because they don't keep it seamless - the same design in the same edition! Why does Windows 8 has to have Office 2007 design?
The ribbon design depends only on windows itself and not the application (compare it to mspaint). So maybe they will update it to office15 design soon...
I think Windows 8 will be the first Windows to have UI changes post-Beta... I'm sure Microsoft has still some work to do on the Windows 8 UI, esp on the Aero side. By the time we'll get to try the RC, Windows 8 will be perhaps in its final form!
Wouldn't it be good if the (Blue) File Tab in the Windows Explorer Ribbon is changed to something like this which Paint and WordPad had on Windows 7: I really don't understand why MS chose to name the main tab as File! File in general is used in windows applications; in Explorer, i don't think the name fits! What are your views guys?
