    An Apple? That's either OSX or iOS on iPad. None of them are a full PC experience tailored for the next generation (touch) hardware/software.

    M$ need money, i believe they need more research and time before releasing OS in a regular period of time,This is somewhat similar to vista lol o_O ,asking customers to upgrade for more hardware and touch devices, what's up with desktop guys.?Any way i would like to welcome new technologies in both hard and software platform:cool:

    To get back the old start menu, open regedit, goto

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer

    change value of RPEnabled from "1" to "0"

    close regedit, you get your old start menu......the catch is, no more metro UI because you just disabled it. To get back the Metro UI, change the value back to "1"

    He is talking about Windows 8 Beta, not WDP.
    We can't do this registry trick on Beta.

    Saying Goodbye to the Start Menu is Microsoft's biggest risk ever related to Windows! Hope the combination of the Taskbar and the Charm Bar lives upto the expectations otherwise I smell disaster!

    You mean to say that the RC *can have* some changes from the BETA?? Well, I really wish MS keeps on changing and improving Win 8 and not stop after the BETA only to fix bug and do some minor tweaking here and there.

    Disaster? Not for the end users. It actually is the best decision M$ has made. I hope it will speedup their doom and we'll get rid of their monopoly.
