If we have nothing else around here lately, we have learned "no guarantees" until the rumors become facts...
That is interesting. I keep finding it difficult to grasp information on the person of WZor mostly his predictions with accuracy looking at the way most sites are referencing him in their articles. That is preposterous. I mean to say unacceptable!
I quite understand that but, putting a price tag is a bold step taken by him. That would tarnish his personality when his predictions failed. If I were him I would be very cautious with dishing out secret information to the public because it can change before the final product is released to the general public.
Anyone who references inside sources should also treat their article as speculation. MS has every right to change the way they do something before they commit to a policy and do a press release. I'm not entirely sure why the public keeps treating those speculation posts as gospel.
That's why I always tried to add: "take as rumor", it's like the small prints on a contract, you don't notice it, that's your problem.
If past performance is any indication of future performance, we can expect a lot of BS/anger/name calling/and childish behavior here between now and the leak/release of some version on Win 9. God Bless rumors, the fuel of fools...
I would assume that it has something to do with the fact that some sources have turned out to be pretty accurate many times. cough mjf cough
MJF tends to actually care whether what she blogs is accurate. That other guy, Thurrott, just kind-of spits out anything he hears. It's still backward to assume that the direction MS is attempting to move things is the same direction that they'll keep moving. MS learned a long time ago to not promise things that they aren't sure they can deliver. When they design things, sometimes what's good on paper doesn't translate to good software. Politicians fall into this over-promise trap as well. The longer you do things like that, the more people start to call you out on your failed 'promises'. Once your failure becomes a news story, it snowballs. Imagine how upset people would be if MS failed to ever bring back the start menu after their conference where they mentioned working on it. That could become a big trend to talk about how they never delivered. Speaking of which, haven't they been working on that for like half a year now? What gives, MS?
Nah, Murphy, from what I know, win9 won't be the last Windows version, but I don't want to enter into another pointless/meaningless debat that could last for 2 years. About this start menu thing, I gave them probably the scoop of 2014(it would over-throw every currently rumored win9(preview) features), but the bloggers just tried to dismiss it with all kinds of funny reasons, LOL.
I would never think they'd willfully abandon Windows. Between that and Office, it's like their 2 big money-makers. I was mentioning changing direction because they could change what the insider person mentions to a blogger.
Then how come when FaiKee, who posts every thing he hears as fact only to change it later when he is wrong or hears something else, gets treated like he's a good source? That's what I don't understand. He takes stuff others have put on the internet and puts it out there with his twist: "Here's what I have heard" or " Nah, I've heard this and that and add's little snarky smilies to it as if he's right and they're wrong. All the guy does is take blog postings and mixes them all together so he has an outcome for any direction it could go and puts it out there and starts talking about how people are going to report this and that later on and say they said it first. In reality they did say it first, he just repeated it. He can't make a post without showing hate towards MJF or Wzor. Ask yourselves why that is. Why does he have to make everything personal and add drama to it? Yet when I point all of this out I get the usual drama gueen response that I'm just a "hater" and certain buddies of his here defend him to the death by going into troll mode. It's pathetic that people defend the guy when others besides me have seen and mentioned all the same stuff I have. Oh and if he's not a leaker, why are certain people waiting on him for a leak to happen? Because they know he sits on the Russian and Chinese forums and begs certain people to leak stuff? Oh and if he keeps making references to this new MS guy of his who wants to remain "anonymous", I can easily link to the very publick forum posts that show who the person is. There's nothing "anonymous" about it. Just BS he adds to make it appear more legit.
Time for me to jump in again. The truth content of a post is judged by the reader only. The reader makes an opinion of it and this opinion then is posted as an attribute of the poster! People should keep that mechanism in mind. I don't like when people who are involved here are calling names. I guess people can make their own opinion about his posts. -People are complaining about things at others, by doing exactly the same here (everywhere) it is to complain about drama by posting drama. -People are abusing 'news' by pushing their ego. To know something others seemingly don't, gives a push for the ego. There is seemingly a short superiority--"I know something, you don't" As result the other ego feels threatened and re-acts by doubting the validity of the post. One who is out of that ego games has the one and only goal when the one posts: To inform others.
I hope we get Windows-9 for the Surface 3 Pro as well and hopefully quite cheap too. Just bought my wife a 3-Pro-i7-512GB, to keep her happy, because I had already my Desktop-Upgrade not so long ago.
FaiKee doesn't drama. He's stubborn, but he doesn't drama. I treat FaiKee's speculation just the same as I treat everyone else's speculation. I should point out that your post there was the one that brought the drama, not FaiKee. FaiKee just tends to relay stuff he reads on the pcbeta site, which most of us don't read, because it's in Chinese. I've tried to translate that site many times, but it doesn't work. A lot of people talk with slang or use phrases we don't use in English, so it ends up not making sense.
I have to agree with that. FaiKee is as he is. He posts conform to the rules and he contributes a lot, also from Chinese sources. Shawnsdada, you are nagging at him and then you complain that he is defended by others. Let others have their own opinion like you have your own. We know now good enough what you think about him. Thanks.
Tks Yen, personally I think this is quite a patience with a hater that put up posts(actually, it's spamming and trolling) again and again of defamation to another MDL member with unsupported accusations like "stealing credits", "beg for infos/leaks". Anyway, my best experience with these kinds are just like other members, simply ignore him. LOL, murphy, it's just like we need Super User to translate Russian, sometimes I talk with the PCBeta guy with Hong Kong SMS languages, even people in China out of the Pearl Delta doesn't know what we are talking about.
