How is it hot air when a lot of these leaks were confirmed? people have real builds of windows 9, i know you are full of hot air look at your posts. I am assuming you still think they are going to call it threshold too right? lol
I am taking the chance to inform people, mainly those who are waiting for a leak. And you'll understand why there is no leak. Let's say one has a prebuild one wants to leak, because the one has 'no fear'. One needs: A platform to provide it. A server to upload it. A forum / blog to discuss it. There are conflicts in interests. The web host, the site owner, the leaker, the people involved in the leak itself and finally those who want the leak. What have they to win / to lose? The platform that provides it: To win: More members, a bit of more money due to more ads clicked. To lose: The site itself and will probably get private trouble at least DMCA infringement claims. The web host: To win: Actually nothing, to lose: The site owner and will probably get private (as web-host) trouble. The leaker: To win: Popularity, importance. To lose: His virtual identity and will probably get private trouble. The legit user: To win: If at all shady importance / popularity. To lose : His job. Consider one becomes involved into judicial inquiry and the one's job is to handle sensitive data (research / development). What would the boss say if he knows one has leaked confidential data from M$? It has nothing to do with a court or to sue, one just gets fired, basta. The one who wants the leak: To win: To have the leak already before the 'others' have official releases. To lose: actually nothing. Got it? The point is the owner here M$ does NOT want that somebody publishes products of current development states! It's not the point that competitors could copy their OS, the point is that others can analyze what they do before the product is final. They do NOT want a leak, because of money. Everybody who works at development / research knows that to leak current info will be punished hard. It is the future of a company. Each employee has to sign papers (NDA). Even though it is unknown if a leaker of the OS itself got punished, one knows they can! What is known is that they had sleepless nights, at least. To survive years for instance by running a forum / being a member somewhere you have to think closely what you do. We know others are vanished already. Guess why winfuture or others are still successful and others had to go....
As long as there's no leak ... it's a lot of hearsay i see and some info chunks from real sources (that won't leak as it seems) .
When everybody has access to a build, just THEN will be considered a leak, and then the mods will do a subforum, I believe the same thing happened for this subforum; when the 7850 build of Windows 8 was leaked here.
"When everybody has access to a build" Lol. Okay so many reputable sites and writers post the exact same information means nothing. Got it. As long as its in 7 billion people's hands its considered a leak. EDIT: Its also one week (7 days) away from unveiling i don't get how much more proof you need.
Do you have it in hands and have to report anything about it's features ... ? ATM this tread is sufficient and when any leak/preview actually appears it might be time for a new sub-forums.
In one ear and out the other. Lol its all good but this forum is getting weak for all the trolling on this thread whats the point on following it or any if all the information that was leaked is wrong and we wait till the 30th.
What do you mean would happen if a sub-forums is created at this moment ... less 'trolling' than now?
No but it would be more organized instead of going to the Windows 8 help section just to find Windows 9 stuff in that section that has nothing to do with Windows 8 I go to the Windows 7 section and i see absolutely no Windows 8 discussions.
We'll do what we did, as soon as there is an official build available a new forum will be created. One easily can know what can be expected of a thread as long as there is no real subject of discussion available for the public. Actually to blog would be the right way as long as there is nothing to test / share for the public. A forums thread invites to troll.
I was just joking around about threshold and the trolling speculation that followed it we could name it longhorn or vienna haha
It should be named Windows IX and next gen should be Windows X time to get into Roman Numerals since it looks boss.
