They need to get the preview out ASAP there's millions of computer setups if they wanna crush bugs gotta do it
To be clear about what he said : He just said "We will announce the next windows in a few days, it's internally called Threshold, let's just call it Windows 9 for now" and he said later "the next windows still doesn't have a name" So he didn't confirm Windows "9", at best he confirmed it was internally called Threshold.
to be clear there are two slightly different quotes « L’année dernière, nous étions avec une version Windows 8 [Ndlr : 8.1], dans quelques heures, quelques jours nous sortirons notre nouvel OS, Windows 9 » Alain Crozier. Directeur Général Microsoft France "Last year, we were with a Windows 8 release [Editor's note: 8.1] in a few hours, a few days we will release our new OS, Windows 9" Alain Crozier Microsoft CEO France le patron french for the boss of Microsoft France « Nous vous donnons rendez-vous fin septembre, à San Francisco, pour le futur de Windows, qui effectivement à ce stade n’a pas de nom en tant que tel » déclarait en effet, de manière plus élusive, le directeur marketing de Microsoft France, Nicolas Petit, peut-être plus expert de la communication d’entreprise. "We look forward to seeing you in late September, in San Francisco, for the future of Windows, which actually at this stage does not have a name as such," said in effect, the more elusive, marketing director of Microsoft France, Nicolas Petit, perhaps more expert in corporate communication.
We might see the release come through on 30th September as many have claimed invitations for the press event have been dispatched to various participants. Having said that, the layoff is only affecting Trustworthy Computing Group and that means the tech giant is trying to protect the operating system valuable information from public and others important things by reorganizing the team.
For the public release, AFAIK, a "maybe" for Oct., a "more likely" for Nov., no idea what MS would say on Sept. 30. - take it as rumor.
It still baffles me at this point in time that there is no tangle information about Windows 9 Technical Preview and the release date online. I don't know why it has to be that way, although, there have been two incidences of theft and leak in the past that make the company to take a decisive step in securing all loopholes within Redmond. Despite that, there is no reason whatsoever to keep a release date as elusive as we are seeing today. Making people to speculate based on few information available to them. Now it has become a thing of 'rumor' to discuss about Windows 9. That is not just fair. I am sorry for the rant though.
The exact quote from Alain Crozier from the video is : Which can be translated by "Let's name it Windows 9, for now the codename, internally, is Threshold"
Which interview ? I'm talking about the microsoft france conference they did on tuesday which ended up with small Q&A sessions. That's from that conference every journalist did its little "windows 9 announced" article.
I don't know what to say than I have to follow my instincts in this speculations. We might just be surprised come 30th September that the press event will not talk much about the branding of the upcoming Windows. It is so elusive that I keep wondering why it has to be that way. My understanding as regard what I think is going to happen follows: 1) Windows 9 is going to be the name for some reason that it is said to make a different due to poor performance of Windows 8 among consumers. 2) The press event might be shifted to another date if Microsoft still have a lot to fix before releasing the Technical Preview as the actually release date of the operating system is very close come 2015. 3) Perhaps they are still working on effective activation processes. 4) The company management is still looking for people to layoff for their role in criminal activities within the company. 5) The reorganizing of those left working at the dissolved Trustworthy computer group into other department is taking much of the time. Although, these are my speculations per se and there is nothing I have written above that haven't been addressed before in MDL. But, one thing remains Microsoft is concerned about how this upcoming Windows is going to be received by the general public against previous Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating system poor rating.
"Last year, we were with a Windows 8 release [Editor's note: 8.1] in a few hours, a few days we will release our new OS, Windows 9" Alain Crozier Microsoft CEO France so is this quote published by znet.fr a complete fabrication?
Just imagine yourself on the cloud and One drives by and the plate says ''Nein'' and then you close your WinDoze. It was all a dream.
I guess you're right, and it could have been in the aircraft with meds...or bus oh well I guess I need to watch it again, I mean the movie...lol. “We're never gonna score”… also the nightmare of Microsoft.
Disagreeing is always going to happen, it is when it is done without respect for all involved (name calling and such) that I have a problem with it.
