Whenever a leak, or suspected leak is getting close, the natives get a little restless here... Our, mine included, tolerance for BS can be pretty low at times. If you read the thread you can see how the situation developed and the other members responses. Once Update 2 is out, all will return to normal, until we close in on Windows Whatever Is Next, then the cycle begins again. Whatever I said that annoyed you, I apologize, not my intention I can assure you.
Why do you demand something you yourself aren't able to? And why do you behave yourself a similar way whilst complaining exactly about this manner? bchat has appologised as he noticed that he's adopted the wrong tone. Anyway you corrected him in a similar rude way even though he did not address you personally. Moderation is our job. Maddog is posting since yesterday that (s)he is installing, doing this doing that.... To ask oneself what is the purpose of his / her posts is comprehensible also to think about if he/she is just here to attract attention and make people begging for a ISO. Fact is that he/she lets the people here believe that he/she installs update2. Would you do the same? If I had this update I would not post before I have it physically on my screen!!!
Then ask FaiKee not to ask people who say they have any future release to create new threads before knowing if they actually have anything. That's how he helps spread BS information. He has no idea if he has anything at all, but asks him to create a new thread about it. I'm sure his answer to that would be that he does that to help catch hoaxers, but I call BS on that. He does it on other forums as well. Except he has more of a begging attitude on other sites than what he shows here on MDL. On other sites it's obvious he is begging for stuff, but over here he doesn't show the begging side as much knowing he'll be called out on it since there's more people here that actually have real information that he doesn't. Not trying to start any arguments, just pointing out some facts that should have been pointed out a long time ago. He has spread so much BS over 8.1 Update 2, Update 3, Threshold and Windows 9 that it's not even funny. People wouldn't get as erratic if he would put an end to the begging of information and leaks and the spreading of BS.
Yen, I believe it would take quite a (long) while for maddog to install his Update2 ..... i.e. until it is available either thru a leak or public release.
I don't believe I've seen such an accusatory tone in MDL before. Even if maddog0266 doesn't have the update, he hasn't posted outright lies like false screenshots that some people do. If he just doesn't want to risk breaking an NDA and possible loss of paid account status, then perhaps he shouldn't be posting here at all. That doesn't mean that people should be going around throwing obscenities and name-calling. Remember in 8.1 when Cleric was posting fake screenshots? We just told him he was wrong and to go away. We didn't go on all day about how he was "full of sh**" before he even posted a screenshot. It's obviously not helpful if you cannot actually post useful information that is legit. It's also equally unhelpful to go around trash-talking people that haven't really done anything wrong.
@Murphy78, One of the good/bad things here is there are people of all ages from all over the world with various levels of knowledge and patience. Outside of "We want the leak", we'll probably all never agree on anything. Even though we may wander off into the fruits and vegetables once in a while, we always seem to get back on track when needed. Just for the record, I am equally low on the knowledge/experience and patience scales. LEAK ON....
The beginning of the blue second sentence disqualifies actually the first blue. I don't want to judge about Faikee here I replied to a totally special matter which has nothing to do with him. My one and only goal is to moderate and I react on current particular situations not to find out who is the worst guy / gal or want to argue who could be worse or also bad. If you have the opinion Faikee is posting something that could violate our rules, then report the post and be sure we will treat anybody the same way (if you want to mention he probably has a bonus.). But that's is no argument here. I also haven't made an opinion if maddog has something or not, I only said that it is comprehensible that his purpose to post here could just be to attract attention (with or without a leak), I have read all his/her posts. And I have posted how I'd behave having update2 or another leak myself. "I would not post anything before I have it physically on my screen." We have a similar situation every time when an update will be released. I know that there is always something to argue about my posts. Anyway I care about MDL and will not stop to post my opinions. Goal is to have a pleasant atmosphere. There are 2 ways, just to delete anything that is off topic without to communicate with the MDL members, or to try to communicate to have a relationship where issues can be clarified together. I still prefer the latter.
Well, I know you don't have access to MS Partner program because they halted pre-release software distribution to external partners. Please, explain why do I have this then: (disclaimer: I can't and won't prove is this legit or not)
to make that story short finally: there is no such official beta stuff any more and even a pic which you had or never had or whatsoever been canceled under disclaimer matter. Maddog didn't show anything but BS blabla since he announced something with a big mouth. All future posts of him only arrive here with a smile on my face. Period
Update 2, or "August Update", as I have seen it referred to on several sites, seems to be a "minor" update to Windows 8.1. In the words of Bill Shakespear, I think suspect when all is said and done it will end up being "Much A Do About Nothing"

Since Windows 8.1 Update 2 will NOT have a new start menu as planned earlier, then what is it that it brings that we have a 157 page thread eagerly waiting for? what's so special about it?
