    Frankenbuild = mix of different version releases of windows system files (language files), usually used to use beta activation files on RTM releases to activate. The systemfiles themselves are usually original from M$.
    The OS is not genuine, though and those self made ISOs are not allowed to be posted at the public. A fankenbuild highly probable causes compatibility issues and it is absolutely not recommended to use it as working OS.

    For curiosity's sake it is OK to be installed on a vm.

    MDL won't give any support on these frankenbuilds, though.

    To upgrade the actual w8? That is absolutely NOT recommended!!! You will encounter issues when later using the real RTM, except you'd completely make a clean install then.
