Hehehe! As I’ve said to you, I will help you till it works. Before I continue to write, one warning! Do not delete menu.lst. It is the configuration file for grub!!! Remember: “Jeeti Huiee Baazi Ko Palat Sakta Hai” OK, I’m very glad the see that it works now! I would like to thank you, too. Your issue and results made me to understand much more about the boot process (dual boot) and grub bootloader. It also brought me to the idea of patch 2.0 without to install MBR (which had been the next option for you). I’ll update the instructions again and I’ll integrate the new install2.bat to the next version of WoW! One thing I’ve learned in my life already. To achieve something you should never give up and to be convinced that you can make it! I’m no computer professional, but to research is my profession. You are a very kind and friendly person. A friend of mine has visited your fantastic country India. I’ve seen a lot of impressing pictures. Since I’m travelling one time a year to Asia, I hope I’ll find the time to visit India in the future. Hope to see you again, take care. I think you’re the chief guest here, pleased to meet you….…………….
Thanks Yen! Oh Yes! You are right! I was the chief guest on this topic. However, I am just joking. But I must say that all the help and tools I have received from this forum are Highly Appreciable & equally for your kind help Yen!!!! And I am much amazed at the incredible minds behind this Wow patch therefore; one can definitely understand “the level of understanding the person has in regards to the booting process, where exactly the patch needs to come into force to fool Vista and the entire Vista boot process, simply great work!” Oh Yes, India indeed has very old precious and beautiful momentous and historical places wherein historical events had occurred during 18th century & I have always seen all the foreigners admiring about it when they visit India, and Yen till date, whenever I have been to these historical place, I have never seen a single foreigner without a digital camera & they try capturing as much pictures as they possibly could, I mean they have much curiosity of knowing things and what’s the story behind. Great dedication!!! Secondly, Goa is where one would find all the foreigners. But I must say that one would like to admire the beauty of India, then he / she should visit places like Ooty, Kodia Kanal, Shimla (all these are Hill Stations) & also see Himalaya Mountain. Anyway’z, as advised by you, I will not touch menu.lst or any other files connected with the Wow patch. However, I’ll see what happens when the HP Certificate gets renamed or moved to another location. I feel that it shouldn’t affect the Vista’s activation since the certificate has already been installed. The file can only be used as a reference whenever one requires installing the certificate again. I’ll work on the other points and try to quickly post my results on this post for all other users’ benefits. Once again Yen, thanks for your kind help. I hope that the next post shall be my last one on this forum in this topic but I’ll keep visiting this forum once a month to keep an eye on the latest developments happening in regards to Vista’s activation. Now, the next time when I shall ask for help again on this forum for Vista’s activation will be when Vista SP2 gets released but I feel that your Wow patch will not be trapped by Vista SP2 as well. Hey, how about Windows 7? What major changes is Microsoft planning to introduce with this release? I heard that now Microsoft is completely focusing on touch screen technology wherein the communication between a Microsoft’s user and the computer shall be interactive. Secondly, Microsoft is planning to release Windows 7 in 2010. So, FlagMax & Yen, are we ready for it? Any plans of Wow patch release for next generation OS – Windows 7? Regards, Apoorva.
Unable to edit my own post. Hello Yen. While upating my own post, I get an error message (Kindly see the attached screenshot)....quiet wired... Any idea why this could be happening? I also tried logging out, clearing Cookies, History, Forms...etc. but did not help. I am using IE 8 Beta 2. Is it b'coz I ask too many questions? Let me know.... Yen, one more thing, after applying Wow patch, I see some text messages at boot up, I understand that those messages cannot be avoided but couldn't we get the text colour changed to black from white? Also, could you kindly release a Wow patch for me with that install2.bat file included and the above updation? Regards, Apoorva.
Hi, I've updated to WoW1.04. I did only two minor improvements. I've included the new install2.bat as install.bat and used a new marker file to avoid confusion. I still don't know how to colour the message black or to disable the message. The message doesn't appear at my test machine for some reason..... I've to read more about at grub forums. Since the source code of grldr is available, someone with program skills is probably able to recompile it without showing the message. Unfortunately my skills are insuffiicient to do so.
Hello Yen & Flagmax, Can't we introduce this WoW_1.04_HP_530.exe patch in a way so that it gets installed during the installation of Vista itself? We can get this patch integrated using a software such as vLite tool? Kindly Think about it and let me know.
Hello, Its simply wired but all of a sudden, I have started facing this issue. But the issue gets resolved by selecting the check box "Remember me" during login. However, same did not require earlier. Regards, Apoorva.
Ok, think after a few minutes you just get logged off. And when not being loggend in, you are of course not able to edit any postings. Problems that seemingly solve themselves
I don't think it is a good idea, why? -You have to provide a full Version of Vista with WoW included. This will pay too much attention to Microsoft. -Since different users are using different configurations it will be difficult to make a universal install (as you have seen at your case). -Most of the users out there don't know what is it for. They don't know what is a present but unusable SLIC. They just want to activate Vista and not to think about it. -The patch is installed within a few minutes. -I don't know what's about flagmax. I don't know if he is still active here at forums. -We can be proud that here at mydigitallife we have got such a solution. Everyone who is interested in WoW is welome. But a good idea is to make it totally invisible. This should be another goal of development.
Windows 7 - Wow Patch? Hey, how about Windows 7? What major changes is Microsoft planning to introduce with this release? Hi Ancestor, Well, its not the question of getting logged out automatically after few minutes of inactivity on the forum. When I faced this issue, I deleted all the cookies, Temporary files, history..etc....closed the IE browser and opened it again, than logged into the forum and when I clicked on Edit, it shows me that error message.
