[Not working anymore] How to upgrade from W7/8.1 without going through the complete upgrade process

    I doubt Telemetry will ever end. They started adding it to all their software hehe

    Exactly. Moreover, they'll increase telemetry data stream till they suck up half bandwidth of yours. Mark my words. :D

    windNsalsa did it successfully.
    crashnburn encountered probs talking about phone activation. Using original OS files is mandatory. It doesn't matter from where the SLIC comes, though. An altered OS might cause issues anyway.

    ? Did this proceedure 'overwrite' , as in remove , the DAZ 2.2.2 'medicine' ?
    {I never was able to see where it was written to in the past.}

    For the record the time left is the same for everyone in the world. 3 hours right now. I've used a proxy from Japan and it's 3 there too.

    Absolutely correct ! it ends at the last time zone which is Hawaii, about 22:30 Friday July 29 when I post this :eek:.
    I do my upgrade and activate successfully at 10:00 AM Friday July 30 in my time zone.

    Just finishing my last system lol. 1148PM HST. its saying "We've got some new features yadda yaddda" screen.
    oh now activated as I type, 1149PM HST haha

    ha ha! 2/4 nights in a row.. and you dont even want to know how many I got done and had few remaining :p

    Honestly, if I'd not fallen sick last few months I'd love to have not done this last minute. But honestly, as a dedication to you YEN, bat.1, Enthousiast and many other active guys.. I'm going to post MY improvement "pack" to the Tutorial - I think myself and people kepty having too many repeated questions which ought to have been clear already. No harm, I bow to the guys who and how they figured out that tiny little GatherOState & GenuineTicket.

    I'm curious why would it generate a GT every time without fail.. and then some times drop Ingesting the GT. Why give the false illusion that we have a ticket to the movies :p

    Still can't post hotlinks but this is very relevant. Apparently you don't actually have to use "assistive technologies".

    I just picked up what you wrote about a particular machine. Didn’t want to tease you with my reply. :)
    I know in some cases the ticket did not vanish at first activation attempt...and how it worked then anyway was not clear....I presume it had been activation server related delay or issue or the like.

    Actually, the free upgrade offer continues. Visit microsoft.com/accessibility/windows10upgrade and download Windows10Upgrade24074.exe by clicking "Upgrade Now". If you want to do a fresh install, you'll find gatherosstate.EXE 6.2.9200.17258 in C:\Windows10Upgrade when you run Windows10Upgrade24074.exe (or extract it manually, it's a SFX CAB archive).
