[Not working anymore] How to upgrade from W7/8.1 without going through the complete upgrade process

The Win 10 used to upgrade was version 10586.0 not any later build? This version is mandatory for the upgrade from KMS activated Win 8.1.

So my mistake was to get last Win10 build (using Media Creation tool) instead of this specific one : Windows 10 10586
I will start from scratch again and give you my result

 

Could someone send me a inbox of this message, would prefer to know if the instructions vary from above, as I'm trying to do this on a PC that refuses to take windows 7. (newer). So windows 8.1 with KMS is the only way

 

He explained how to establish a HWID for 10 going the "8.1 KMS > 10 10586 > most current build" route. At least how it was done in the past.

All KMS activated installs can be converted to HWID activation (without illegally obtained keys), and there is no need for first installing 7 SP1 or 8.1 anymore either

 

Install 8.1 Pro, activate by KMS, upgrade to windows 10 Pro build 10586, clean install, or upgrade to, a more current windows 10 Pro build and you have a HWID for 10 Pro.

 

No need to go on Win7 or 8.1 first anymore?!

How , just with a Win10 10586 build fresh install?

I need help

sitsuation: two harddisks
disk 1: Windows 7 ultimate x32, MDL site, DAZ loader v2.2.1 activated (long long time ago) now not genuine!
disk 2: Windows 10 pro 1709 x32 SHA1: 93B317C82B69252027E57AA2D18B50825CDF443E Retail succesfully activated using gatherosstate route.
BUILD 16299.15 After windows update BUILD shows 16299.371

Dual boot with EasyBCD. Have got Acronis full backups for both systems (also from W10 pro before using MSMG Toolkit)
Got genuine ticket XML saved


All was well! ...until now

I think that removing MetroApps from windows 10 with MSMG Toolkit and reinnstalling it few hours ago screwed things up? chose the right version of W10 PRO to work on.

Like i said earlier today installed W10 Pro from the ( with MSMG Toolkit ) tweaked ISO
Was busy further installing programs and tweaking W10 a bit. It showes activated all the time......W10 from which im working now is still activated!

Short while ago booted back into windows 7 and this message appeared
W7 PC Properties: You must activate today. Activate Windows now (desktop color is black)

What should i do best to activate W7 without loosing W10 activation? had a lot of work on it and was just about to make a backup. I cant afford loosing windows 7
1) Activate W7 again with DAZ? different OEM? got DAZ v2.2.1 and 2.2.2 from MDL.. info: Didn't create a microsoft account en actively activated , W10 just shows activated.

Before i take any actions i would like to get some advice. Its is appreciated

 

Would assume the last install modified the boot sector and purged the Loader. Just reinstall the Loader from within Win 7, this won't affect the Win 10 activations.

(sorry im Dutch) . w10 and w7 on seperate hardrives..never got a defender message... should i choose different OEM with DAZ? cant find out the brand of the motherboard ITS DC5800 HP Microtower..DAZ 2.2.1 loader showed asus earlier:

Details: ASUS (10/26/15 - v2.1) best to use DAZ 2.2.1 now?

so.. is this possible to have win 7 installed, activated with daz, and do the ticket thing, format hd and install windows 10 1803? will this work?

 

If you choose the correct W10 version matching your windows 7 ...yes. .. if you have 7 ultimate choose 10 Pro....and so on.. Has to be Retail (OEM) version i think. im no expert so better not for me to answer.

 

Gonna reboot in 7 and try. I think you are away right now...i need to sleep its late try it with v2.2.2 ill post message if it worked or not later tomorrow..thanks for ur advice.bye

Yes, this is the correct method and it worked for me once I realized out it HAD to be W10 Pro 10586. Follow these steps and you'll get it!

I have also tried the 8.1 kms>>win 10 10586>> v1709(i am having this version iso only)
But one thing I want to clarify is that internet should not be connected when 10586 is installed?
Then after what point of time i have to connect to the 8nternet to get HWID.
I haven't generated any genuine ticket..
