I have a legitimate online business with URL but its strictly content based; very similar to this site in fact. Unfortunately I don't produce software. I'm assuming if I make a BS program that does something simple I'll fit the requirements and be accepted?

 

quick question at the end should i choose apply "via network partner" or "apply via microsoft"?

 

I went ahead and applied via Microsoft directly using my legitimate online business. It'll be interesting to see if it's approved; I don't release software through it.

 

u guys applied through which network? the local network or through microsoft?
