    Hi Yen,
THANK YOU for the attempt. I managed to use a "tool" to insert SLP 1.0 no problem, but no SLIC method. Will post the Intel ITK link when I find it.
BIOS now is SLP 1.0 = Dell ComputerHewlett_packard

OK, the bios is editable. But I need an AcpiScope report to see what's going on.
Install a clean Vista 32 bit (no Vistaloader or something like this) or windows XP 32 bit and run acpiscope.
Press the chip icon and save the report (file-->save as). Please upload the report and I'll have a look what I can do for you.

    Thanks.

I know that tool already. Yes it's able to add a SLP1.0 string. But I don't know if it decompresses the bios by open it. If yes, you may try to edit the decompressed bios at physical memory directly. But this I've tried already before with another bios without any success so far.......:(

    good info there.

thank you very much yen ;)

edit: Im also curius about your "manual mods", what is he procediment/tools you use? I would like also to try, cause you told me PBE fails a lot making risky flash anything, did all steeps mentioned at your post, but when opening the 512 kb bios.rom file with PBE, I got 3 different errors like
    Code:
An unsuported module class "H" was not found at offset F746B,do you want to continue?
Im using PBE pro version 2.2.0.1. (I think is latest, didnt found a newer one)

As you wish...except the backup part. Haven't found a backup util, and I can't see any EEPROM on the board...
