ZaForD This manually approach was possible since I know much more about Phoenix bioses now and since I'm a bit more familiar with disassembly. That Acer 115 bios was a real challenge to me, and I'm very glad that it worked. Phoenix bios editor changed the data of the logos, so I didn't use it to rebuild the bios. But even Zhaoliang wasn't able to unlock the fixed OEM ID'S of Sony Vaio. You may upload a Sony Vaio bios together with a AcpiScope report and I'll have a look again. Zhaoliang's skills are very high, though...... chuckles Thanks for the compliment, enjoy your mod.
Thanks Yen, I'm having problems running AcpiScope, it keeps BSoD'ing on me. Probably something to do with Windows7. When I get the chance I'll make some room and install XP, then report back.
Thank you so much Yen, you're the best!!!!!!! The modded BIOS works great, and its so far stable, in 3D gaming. Thank you again!!! Best Regards! Skugge
delweine Please upload a AcpiScope report or at least a Everest overwiew of the Acpitables, I guess your SLIC is only half mapped. @ all waiting here I'm very busy, but I'll have a look and will reply to each post.......
Is there a way to flash my hp IN DOS MODE? Yen, I think If i reflash in dos, i might be able to get my machine to activate. it worked before.. meaning; before iused winflash to flash to hp's latest bios for my pavilion 9720, it was activating and i was able to se hp's auto product detection feature. However, this was under vista 32 bit ultimate. would using 64 bit vista change something? thanks
