    Hi 911medic,

    I successfully recover the bios of DV2530 using phonix recovery disk, so can you please check the moded bios for errors.

    than you very much for your time and consideration.

    BTW. any news regarding the bios for HP 6510b

    Hi 911medic and Yen.

    Yen your opinion is highly appreciated.

    The original bios of HP DV2530 having some features which i can't understand that is:

    1. The ACPI information in EVEREST are emulated (picture attached)??????:confused:

    2. Here also RW report which is confusing also, can you have a look and figure out what is this.

    Yes you can try to flash the mod. Only issue could be that the flastool complains about the checksum. IMO the mod is save and should update the SLIC to 2.1.

    hi Yen,

    i flash the moded bios without any complains from the flash tool,

    But nothing changed still the ACPI information shown in EVEREST are emulated, VISTA still activated without updating the certificate, and RW tools cann't show the compete ACPI information !!!!!!!!!

    Any help greatly appreciated

    BTW. to make sure i ran VOATK tools to remove any kind of crack installed but doesn't help

    Yes Vista stays activated! The Vista HP cert. matches to the new SLIC2.1, too.
    You may upload the AcpiScope report to get proof if it's updated to SLIC2.1 , but I'm sure.

    I'm curious, too:D. IMO the mod will be save, since SLIC data is modified only (no code). One issue could appear: Checksum problem.....
