Yes it can. Therefore we need the rw-everything report of original bios.

But what will you do when you have flashed a Dell mod and the first W7 cert. that will be leaked is the new acer cert.??? :p
You sure will wait for Dell?

It's a Phoenix-Dell and yet not modifiable. We need to find a way to decompress it. No luck to find delldeco so far... or even other tools......:(

Acer aspire 5633wlmi update to slic 2.1

Well i do know that this notebook works very well, and its a core duo t5500, 3gb ram ddr2 667mhz, wdc 320 gb sata 5400rpm, geforce 7300 128mb. It´s not a new model but i want to use it with windows 7. I don´t think acer will make a bios update for this model (not for windows 7). So only a moded bios can upgrade the last bios from acer to slic 2.1 oem. If it can be with acer slic 2.1 or with other oem like dell or hp, ect... (i will prefer a slic 2.1 that can activate windows vista and windows 7). If it can continue to have also slp to windows xp from acer it will be great.

The request has been made in page 61 at the end page. thanks for your help and sorry about my english writting.

RW 1.3 from acer aspire 5633wlmi

Yen, WickedNick say that all certificate are absolutely identical for windows vista and windows 7. Is this true?

No, he only mentioned that at W7 (not RTM) the Vista cert. + W7 serial+ matching SLIC2.1 activates W7. Not sure if RTM will still do......the W7 cert he has got is different to the Vista cert, only some parts of it are identical <RSAKeyValue><Modulus>

This HP rompaq bios format was not modifiable so far. Anyway there are pubkey and marker data uncompressed. I'll try to exchange them, but I guess there will be some checksum issues.....will try for mod in about one hour.....;)

Risk is the same like you will flash a original bios, since I've only exchanged the marker of SLIC. No offsets are moved, no code was changed .Only possible issue: Flashtool will complain about checksum and doesn't allow to update it.
