rompaq.exe checks it BEFORE it flashes one time. HPQ-Flash additionally checks for the rom.sig. One time flashed it should work since there is no change in code, but marker data only. Have provided a mod to halaween that matches original additive sum by adjusting the last four bytes right behind the bios date...... EDIT: I've used now FFh bytes (unused space) to adjust the sum!
Dell Bios What do i need to replace slic table in my dell poweredge 1800 Bios to include sbs 2008 oem don't know what bios it is just says dell Rev A07 Thanks in advance
Yes, original SLIC activates Vista as this laptop is was sold with Vista! rw-everything report attached Thanks sebus
Use the swinflash from the archive I've uploaded. 32 or 64 bit. Both bioses are modified: BIOS.WPH and 30B7F42.WPH You don't need to buy a USB floppy. You may create a bootable USB pen drive. In fact I've only replaced the SLIC marker using hexeditor.
These are no good news. Maybe the have changed the the way to calculate the sum. I'll try and will upload new bioses. Just try again using original rompaq.exe. Don't know if I'm able to find the right way.....
