The command PH161700.EXE BIOS.WPH /O /Force /X /C /S forces to overwrite protected areas of the bios, too. Some bios updates protect the original SLIC location! If the SLIC isn't stored at BBL (had that one time only) you don't need the /BBL command, yes.
No problem! Yes the BIOSCOD1.MOD is ready for direct injection! Offset: 76210h-80F52h. Size AD43h. DON'T use PBE, only use to examine the bios not to rebuild it!!! All SLIC have 374 = 176h bytes SLIC header: 24h = 36 bytes plus pubkey: 9Ch = 156 bytes plus marker: B6h = 182 36+156+182 = 374 SLIC header is found at BIOSCOD1.ROM
You're welcome! If you want, you may later that time upload your mod. I'll check it for you... Enjoy here at MDL!
Is that true for any Phoenix Mod when adding SLIC 2.1 to a BIOS that already has SLIC 2.0? If so, what exactly needs to be done? I noted this post from Yen: I just looked at the mod you made, and the only thing added is the "marker" section from the end of the HP 2.1 SLIC has replaced the marker from the HP 2.0 SLIC. Is that all that needs to be done? Why doesn't the header or pubkey need to be changed? Thanks! Just hungry for info so I don't brick anything.
