I guess you need a patched flasher from TTAV134. Your dump isn't available to me. I rather would try to patch it using direct RAM edit method using Ezh2O since I can confirm that method. Aren't you able to find the same position there? I have encountered one (recoverable) brick so far (not many though) using andy's tool at HP Insyde bioses...just FYI...
FYI: I'm using IDA 5.2 (32/64) and i confirm that the 3 concerned modules are 64bit code. These HP laptops seems to be "protected" against any modification. Have you ever seen such protection before. We have planed to test a mod (one caracter change in a txt string) next weekend, i will try with andy's tool but i don't think that will solve this issue. thanks
Sounds good. I have noticed that andy's tool is very reliable regarding correction of the sums....maybe a chance, since I don't know if EzH20 corrects all the sums when rebuilding (saving) the modded image...edit: I have noticed when doing the mod for buschtrommel that some sums were wrong when using the direct edit method. (I have opened my mod and andy's tool failed to decompress some modules after...) But at his bios it didn't matter though. It could be a checksum issue, couldn't it? However if andy's tool detects changes it automatically corrects (all) sums. Edit2: Open the original bios with andy's tool and count the modules in the dump folder. (694 here). Do the same with your mod. Is the quantity the same?
Thank you very much Yen!! Flashed, notebook working, but can't tell you if new card is ok because is on my desk at work. Tomorrow I'll let you know how's working. Short history: tried to mod myself with some old methods, bricked notebook, recovered (see my last post on recovery thread), tried again to mod with your method, but you gave me moded Bios before I could try mine, and I didn't risked again. Regarding current card ID, it looks that I was wrong. Can you verify if it's ok the next one? PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1692&SUBSYS_38A217AA&REV_01 Once again thank you very much. Later Edit: It's not working. Same Error unauthorized LAN card. Any ideas? Thank you
