I can't mod your bios but I can tell you how to post it. Look up the support page for your laptop on hp and copy the download link to the bios version you are using. Put that link with the same format others have used above. Manufacturer: (in your case HP) Model Number (you can find this on the bottom of your laptop usually near your battery or underneath it) for an hp it should be something like dv7t-xxxx BIOS revision: You can find this under version number from the same download link for your bios on the hp support site BIOS type: Not sure where you can find this it maybe be noted somewhere in the bios download section on hp Current Card: You need to goto device manager in windows right click on your wireless card (in the network adapter section usually will say wireless or wifi) and select properties. Click on Details and click on the description drop down and select hardware id. Copy and paste the longest line. Card to be added: For this you will need to boot up your computer to windows and put it into sleep mode. Then you will need to install the new card you want and do the same as above. You do not need the card to be added section if you want the whitelist removed entirely. Just make sure to note this in your post.
I hope I will get some spare time to mod a few of them. To add / replace another card is no problem, to disable the whitelist check I need time to figure. The way the whitelist is programmed is mostly different. This is the reason why it is time consuming.
Is whitelist removal possible for an old HP Compaq NC6000? I have searched, but I have not found a modified BIOS. Cheers
Thanks for your info. There is something weird happened. After goes to the bios then exit, my notebook prompted something and shut down itself. If never enter the bios then my notebook will load windows normally...
Hm... Do you touch something in BIOS? It's hard to decide what's going wrong, can you make a screenshot of the problem? I think, it make no sense to touch BIOS settings, as your problem placed in windows or wwan driver.
