I've almost no entries on my system from that list. It maybe be because Cortana is not yet available in my country and therefore all of her related settings don't exist. :g:

For example: Biometrics, Lockscreen Camera, Handwriting Data Sharing, Location and Sensors, Cortana Disable/Reset, etc

Hmm, by default the WU AU key also doesn't exists and needs to be set. Maybe same applies for those. Hopefully someone will chime in and shed some light here. Won't integrate any placebo to script.

Yep, i'm also don't sure about some settings. If i remember right OneDrive also wasn't on my system while enabled and of course i needed to create the reg file to disable it.

This actually keeps me thinking if such settings are currently enable or not since they don't show up, but following OneDrive they probably do

I can confirm that the services are not installed if you clean install with telemetry packages removed but if you remove Windows defender when you go to Settings, updates and security and you click on defender the settings app closes herself without error.

So I would delete the package names from the first post and if you don't want it just install another or apply the reg files

Don't we kind of need the drivers to play games? Or are these just the specific drivers that allow the Xbox App to run and have actually nothing to do with the capability to run games?

Depends on what you have set it up to allow. Look under settings/update & security/windows defender to see what is set

This policy setting determines the amount of diagnostic and usage reported to Microsoft.
A value of 0 indicates that no telemetry data from OS components is sent to Microsoft.
Setting a value of 0 is applicable to enterprise and server devices only.

    REG:

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1714679646-3939120703-3301173095-1001\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy Objects\{82837A32-57B4-4A0E-B4D0-C545616AEC50}Machine\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DataCollection]
    "AllowTelemetry"=dword:00000000

    CMD:

    Code:

    reg add [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1714679646-3939120703-3301173095-1001\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy Objects\{82837A32-57B4-4A0E-B4D0-C545616AEC50}Machine\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DataCollection]
    "AllowTelemetry"=dword:00000000" /f

nix null nada niente data sent :worthy: :D

Setting a value of 0 for other devices is equivalent to choosing a value of 1.
A value of 1 sends only a limited, or basic, amount of diagnostic and usage data.

Does the telemetry have anything to do with the .etl file at "\ProgramData\Microsoft\Diagnosis\ETLLogs\AutoLogger", or is it something seperate?

I'm wondering if another method exists (besides blocking hosts), because i'm running "Professional".

Unless the following solves it for Non-Enterprise users:

    sc stop dmwappushservice
    (optional?) sc delete dmwappushservice
    sc stop DiagTrack
    (optional?) sc delete DiagTrack

At least Windows Server Technical Preview 2, Windows 10 or Windows RT 8.1
This policy setting specifies whether Cortana is allowed on the device.
If you enable or don't configure this setting, Cortana will be allowed on the device.
If you disable this setting, Cortana will be turned off.
When Cortana is off, users will still be able to use search to find things on the device and on the Internet.

    REG:
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1714679646-3939120703-3301173095-1001\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy Objects\{48D7CCEC-0591-493E-BB13-377E329618B2}Machine\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search]

So if we all use Enterprise + use this rule, the complete privacy issue (telemetry) is solved?
