Flash it the same way as you did with previous mod from busykid.

your SLIC is v2 that's why your win7 wont activate.

That's what I noticed. I'm guessing it's a matter of Yen being able to move the SLIC into the right place on the BIOS for it to work.

Unless for some weird reason that when the flash completes, it fails and reverts back to original Bios?

    Used 8406.exe /x 8406.WPH to flash.

That's crazy. Like literally one minute ago, I was thinking to myself the BIOS doesn't seem to have flashed, and I came across someone saying they couldnt downgrade with the BIOS.exe file on a Gateway. So I thought maybe since I'm flashing with the same version Bios, it was considered a downgrade and not taking. So then I tried your BIOS again with the original method Bioskid said which is similar to what you stated above. And Windows is now Activated!!! I was coming back to report, and saw you posted the solution I just tried. You're always right on the money!

The Bios flash seemed to have done the same action where it turned black at the end, the charge light was purple, waited for it to turn blue after like a minute, then Held power down to reboot. This time it activated though!

Here is exact steps I took if you care to add it with Bios file.

    1. Renamed 8461.WPH to BIOS.WPH
    2. Did: PH161700 BIOS.WPH /O /Force /X /C /S
    3. Towards end of the flash, screen turns black, and the battery charging light turns to purple. I waited for the charge light to go back to blue. (about a min)
    4. Once it went to blue, I held down power button to turn off, then turned back on.

Also, to note, Gateway says that 77.15 is the latest BIOS for MT6451 which I have. However, none of the 77 series files would come close to flashing. I had 84.06 loaded on mine already. Looking at the change logs, there are separate models listed for each BIOS. Even though my serial number said 77.15 should work, it did not. So you may want to add for other MT6451 users to check to see which series they are on before flashing.

Thanks you and busykid for all the hard work!!! If you ever find yourself in AZ, free beer for you my friend! ;-)

I think you need to downgrade your bios first. then flash the mod one.
