If I understand you well, It's not safe for me to try this new mod them, isn't it? (because it's made with the same tool - Phoenix bios mod). Are there any other option? Maybe wait for a manual bios mod? Thanks for your time. Regards.
That's great! I have used the mod tool anyway! This time I have changed the mod method to SSv2. The dynamic mod that was made by busykid before looked good to me anyway. I couldn't explain why it bricked before! Then I saw the special commands at acer's own flash tool. You must not use another tool to flash. Andys Phoenix mod tool works. It probably needs to add settings for acer to force ssv2. Thanks for trying that. I was sure it would work, otherwise I hadn't dared to provide a new mod.
Thanks... Results: The dumped bios shows that the SLIC module is present--->flashed onto the EEPROM. The second issue is fixed by using the RC10 version of the tool. (The OEMID lock of the RSDT table is gone). That problem I've PM'ED to andy while you have tried my first mod. The MOV commands are NOP'ED out. I don't know why the SLIC isn't present (shown at rwe report). I had a look to find another place to put the module, but there is no space behind... All the next could be a bit risky....I would try PBE to rebuild the bios.(Using the original method to rebuild). PBE isn't that reliable and bricked sometimes....at the moment I've got no other idea... What do you think? I mean what about a possible bad flash? EDIT: I have a look again....
