    Hi,

Wondering if anyone could take a look at my bios and possibly mod the ACPI to be complaint with Win 7?

I have a Fujitsu Siemens D1692 dual Optron socket 940 board as a project system.

I have flashed it to the latest bios V1.10

    Bios is Phoenix.

Currently have 1 Optron 252 "Troy" CPU installed, seller in Germany sent me one wrong CPU in the pair so waiting for that to be sorted, otherwise the system works fine with one CPU as its stated in the board manual that its fully compatible with just one installed.

The issue I am having is I can install XP, XP x64 and 2k no probs and even boot linux as a test. I can't install Win 7 or even Vista as I get a BSOD "0x A5" "bios is not ACPI compliant. This happens immediately after the initial loading of the files for setup. Ie. the black/white screen with progress bar after inserting the DVD or installation bootable USB. Soon as the windows logo tries to come up it gets the BSOD with A5

Not matter what I have tired in the bios its still the same and it actually lacks any ACPI settings other than suspend mode.

I have the original 1.10 bios at home. I have a RW dump of the ACPI table which I will post both up when I get home.

I would like someone if possible to fix it up and if possible to add or enable some advance CPU options as I would like to be able to change frequencies, voltages, multipliers etc..

I definitely think its a bios issue as I am running Win 7 on a Tyan Thunder K7X Pro which is dual Athlon MP 2800 which is quite a few years older and also amazingly is socket A, runs Win 7 great. It also has Phoenix bios

Let me know if there is any other info needed other than the files coming a bit later.

Hallo, I need help with a Toshiba Satellite a100-209, it is allready 11 Years old and has a SATA 1 for the harddisc, so I put a SSD and installed Win 7 susseccfull, but the SSD runs only in Ide-mod, in the orginal bios is no option for AHCPI mode.
The mainbord is ATI SB450 Chipset ATI RAdeon Xpress 200M(RC410M) + SB450 with Poenix Bios Version 2.30 09/30/08.
I heard that it is possible to add AHCPI Mode to the Bios, but I have no plan o do this, is there somebody who can help me?
    I added the Biosfile S10E230.7z.
    Thanks a lot
    Rudi

    Hello!

Looks like my new UEFI only? Laptop will not allow Win 7. I as referred from here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...stall-win7-64-bit-on-uefi-laptop.76391/page-4 to get help (specifically @Serg008) to mod/update the BIOS. Below is some information. Note that my situation is unusual; there is no manufacturer but an assembler and seller that I got the system from, so no official BIOS versions available from them.

Errors when Installing Win 7 in UEFI mode are Windows Recovery Error/ ACPI non-compliance and in non-UEFI mode, various boot and BCD errors.

    Hey Serg008, again you rock!

I successfully updated the BIOS to SLIC 2.1. I have included a .ZIP of the Modded BIOS for anyone else who ever might need it. The Winflash utility needs to be run as an administrator, and it looks for "BIOS.WPH" by default but if you browse and choose "R0044J1_SLIC.wph" from the flash directory it will proceed normally and flash the modified BIOS, SLIC Toolkit found 2.1 tables and Windows activated. Extract both 7zip files into the same directory, I had to separate the BIOS WPH from the rest because of attachment size limitation. Happy BIOS flashing!
