    Glad that it works!

For Vista activation I need a report from you first.

    Flash again mod 1016_SSV1.rar
    Install HwDirect
Open hwdirect, go to memory dump. Enter fff00000 without "h" and size 100000 without "h", press dump.
Right click into window, select all, right click again, copy. Paste as new file into winhex. (Open winhex and press Shift + insert key) Make sure ASCII-hex is selected. Save file and upload, please!

After that I combine both activations.

About instructions: This was very complicated to do! Are you familiar with winhex? You have to copy and paste code and calculate checksums!
Because you have to do ALL manually!

Yes Thanks. We lost the SLIC during flash process:D
I have to try another place.
This will last one hour, but I'm working on it!

This is the most complicated Award bios I've seen!:D
Good to know the you have a second bioschip, just in case of....

    I'll reply..................stay tuned;)

    Yes!:D:):D 100%

    We finally did it!
The INMAIN mod is the one!

Yes, for sure for XP all the eight OEM'S will activate and for Vista you have to apply the Asus certificate and corresponding key to your version you want to install!

Thank you very much for trying. I've learned some more things.
And sorry for the dead one (I almost thought this could be a bit to much!)

The most important one was to know that you can insert the SLIC into the System / Mainbios to bring it into physical memory like it's done at AMI bioses.

All other ways to do (insert into the biosfile itself) didn't work, because it was lost after flashing.
About tutorial or instructions. My conversation with perbe at this thread is about that!

He did great work, he figured out that each module needs its right checksum byte right after it. (At least at older Award bioses).

We can exchange some knowledge if you want just PM me about. Maybe we can do some moves via MSN! I can explain some basic information about the modules, compression, checksums, tricks...... even though I have to work every day, maybe I'll find some time therefore......

Your bios is very special. I've learned how to mod it right now. I know about the technical stuff and about the methods, but I never had a Award bios which is not editable with the common tools at all!!!
Unfortunately there is no tutorial about the SLP1.0 implementation. Everybody has to pick out the informations.

At this thread you can see how the skills are rising!

About baseboard type 2 Serial Number and how to edit:

I know three tools which allow to edit DMI:
    DMIScope, DMIEditor and DMICFG!

You cant try them all! But you can, yes even with those tools screw up your bios! (just for info)

    How did I learn?
I've read a lot of it at Chinese websites. I'm NOT Chinese and I have to translate all the stuff using Google.

Enjoy your mod and thank you for your work. You can go fast if somebody has a spare chip. Bioscode is special, one wrong move and the board is bricked!

    Hi Fzeven,

I did check it with Everest and it says NEC. I guess I am wrong.

    Thanks

Yea I'm aware of all that. I've already flashed on of my PCs so I could get vista running on it.

Only thing I'm worried about is a few of the other modded bioses on this forum for my motherboard seem to have problems. But go ahead, I'm trying to get this dell working with a new motherboard.
