    I think it has to do something with the oem install cd, because the string sits in the right range.
    Is it a self made install cd?

    Yes from a generic OEM XP HOME disc.
    I just copied over the 4 files of the OEMBIOS set from a Dell XP PRO disc I have, that must do the trick right ?

    BIN:5D93572F
    CAT:B6F0EEFD
    DAT:2F1A3A70
    SIG:CE1C2D7C

    What do you think ? Does it work at the modded memory range ?

    MGADiag displays the SLPBIOS strings so the BIOS code is probably fine.

    I changed the SETUPP.INI to this :
    [Pid]
    ExtraData=786F687170637175716954806365EF
    Pid=76477OEM

    It looks like this OEMBIOS file set is more strict to the details of the bios strings and locations.

    Britty58, i dont know what bios you wanted modded at the time but cant you just load modded bios into available editor for it and see what slip or slic entries are there , if you know what i mean before you flash bios..
