    It just came in my mind:

    One large dump is much more simple. Dump from f0000 size ffff and I read all the addresses by myself. You just need one dump.

    Sorry..this is so late in my mind....

    Hi, Yen

    Thank you very much for your kind & friendly supports.
    I tried the bios modded by you, and the results are:
    * BIOS flashing: Successful (Flasher: Awdflash.exe ver.8.82)
    * Reboot: Unsuccessful (No response):(

    After flashing the bios, I tried to reboot my PC, but could not see the initial POST screen and any response. Power-On itself is ok and CPU fan is moving, but the PC doesn't boot up. It's as if my PC fell into black-out. But please don't worry, I'll go to my college labo and re-flash the bios using ROM Writer there. :)
    As you said, Dell and Sony may be difficult for modding and so, following your advice, I'll try other vendors' oem files, such as HP or Compaq.

    Anyway, thanks a lot for your challenge and best efforts!!

    Thank god you are able to reprogram the chip:)

    Beware of Awbdedit. I don't trust that tool. I could try again if you want, but I cannot promise if it ends up again with a black screen.

    Your dump of the ranges show me that it's very inappropriate for Sony and Dell. I don't know why modbin6 always resets my edits at that range.

    Hp or Asus is no problem at all. I just have to edit the bios screen message at startup. For sony and dell I have to find a tool or another way that allows to edit the system bios without screwing it up.

    In fact it's easy to do. But the tools are old and there are many new Award bioses. The tools cannot handle your bios. It's too new for them. That's the problem. You can try to edit the DMI entries as Ziddey did. I tried this at my bios to test. But the entry didn't persist at reboot for some reason I don't know. You can try DmiScope as well.

    Update: IT WORKS!!!

    I used DmiScope: Click unsorted at the bottom left, choose base board information---> data fields. At serial number ( value was not set) enter the Hewlett string and write DMI entry.

    I got one that PERSISTS AT reboot!!!

    I checked with a mem dump the valid address range for Hewlett OEM and IT IS THERE.
    This is probably a solution for you as well!!:):):)

    Hi Pajero,
    thanks for your reply. What tools / debugger did you use to make this mod, especially to rebuild the bios? E.g. at Gigabyte GA-P35 DS3P bios modbin6 is not able to handle the bios. After rebuild its size 1025 kbyte .

    Thanks for your skilled information.

    Hi, Pajero,

    Thank you so much! I'm very impressed! :eek:
    I revived the dead bios by using the original image file, and tried again the one modded by you.
    And the results are:
    * SLP1.0: Successful :) (Activated for both Dell and Sony)
    * SLP2.0: Successful :) (Vista not yet installed, but "SLIC" was detected by Everest)

    Adding that, according to Yen's instruction, I replaced the OEMBIOS file sets for IBM, HP and ASUS, and found that activation was also successfully confirmed on those vendors. Your bios is really a "Multi-SLP BIOS", as you named it!!

    Thanks again for your knowledge and expertise.

    You're a genius Yen. DmiScope did the trick very well. Windows XP HP Oem installation & activation is successful :)
    I'm using Gigabyte P35-DS3P, F7b bios. (Asus SLIC is modded by u). This bios now also has HP SLP1.0 activation.
    I'll upload it soon.
    Thank you very much.
