Do you remember? This ist he BIOS that killed my motherboard...the flash went bad, I had to RMA it. Mod1 did not flash at all, AWDflash gave a message of Checksum error. Mod 2 flash, but my motherboard on bootup says: Award BootBlock 1.0 BIOS checksum error ...and I couldnot flash it again. Are there any other methods you can try? These boards are almost identical, and houls have almost he same BIOSes, as the EVGA 680i LT and 680i SLI. Maybe you can try that same method as for those boards. Thank you!
Hello China4Ever, Do you have the expertise to mod the HP Phoenix Bios to add "Memory remapping" also called "Memory Hole" option in the BIOS? This option is enabled to get full 4GB allocated and seen by Vista. If this option is disabled or not present the max RAM seen by Vista is 3072MB despite the BIOS showing full 4096MB. I believe this option is hidden somewhere in the BIOS and just needs to be be enabled. Please let me know. Thank you.
Are you able to use the flasher of the mods already worked and flash that bios with it? Maybe rename the bios to one that worked and try to flash? Try the one I changed no code for safety first! Yen
Did you use Phoenix Secure WinFlash (the one packaged with the BIOS)? I've looked at the flash log and there's nothing I can see that would cause the problem, no errors at all. As I've tried flashing outside Windows, it's not a Windows-specific issue. If you have any suggestions, or a copy of your PHLASH.INI file, get in touch, thanks. I'll let you know if I have any luck with this.
