It depends on your ability to understand a little hex editing, some knowledge about coding, bios modules and ACPI specification. A little bit of IDA, too. But once understood it's not difficult anymore but a hard job. I need support..I love the challenge I love to find out how ACPI tables are working in different bioses, but I don't like acting like a robot..... Yen
@Yen I'd love to support you. If you tell me a bit more about "SLICing" () I sure will be able to do the job. And plus, I'm very interested in it. There is some basic understanding but still not too much and i want to expand my knowledge. What do you think?
Ok I'm confused already and will leave it to the experts. How far along the list are you to date, I requested the Dell bios mon on page 378.
There are some useful guides at forum already. I suggest to read them. Download original and modified bios and compare them. You should be able to reproduce the way. After that you may post your own mods. If you want to spend several hours of your free time I'm sure you'll make it. My source is vistafans.com a chinese forum. Use google translator and try to extract informations of that crude text Yen
No sorry. Even Zhaoliang from Chinese forums uses this method and can't understand why it's not working. I discussed that issue 2 weeks ago with China4Ever. He tried alternatively the ISA method without success. The only way is to flash with afudos and / or to try to CLEAR CMOS after flashing and load setup defaults. I know only a few successfully mods with that method, but on MSI boards. Maybe CLEAR CMOS after flashing and load setup defaults will help you..or Afudos /ixxxx.rom /pbnc /n Same problem got Xkovi..... Yen.
