Are you talking to me? Have you ever heard that human beeings have to sleep sometimes? Anyway, I'm sorry that you've got problems. Recovery: Save your original bios to a floppy and rename it to AMIBOOT.ROM. Switch of pc and insert it. Switch on and press ctrl and home key same time. Bios should be read from bootrom and recover. didnt work, flashed fine but wont activate with asus cert, looking at it with acpi scope shows 2 slic tables? could this be the reason why its not working? & also the complete slic table looks like its 1/2 HP & half Asus? Thanks For Trying Yen, do you think this bios is moddable?
Never tried Phoenix bios which has SLIC table before. I'll have a look on it later and remod again. It's probably better to overwrite exsisting table instead of adding a new one. Yen
I tried Mod 1 (and 2 also) both with Load Optimized and Load-Failsafe but none made any difference to anything. Same results. Any ideas? Would an Everest dump help? I will also try the non-Vista booting Mod with an XP installation just see if it starts up. I assume the Vista rebooting is when they look at the SLIC and aren't happy with something there?
