Yes no problem. Better is to work some time with a original one and later request a mod. Gigabyte boards are known to run ISA mods flawlessly.

I had bad experience with a beta bios...but on a Asus board....just my thoughts..:)

    Please review post # 4559

It appears that no one has replied to my post and I was curious why.

Is it possible for soneone to review and inform me if a BIOS mod can be had for my motherboard?

    Thanks!

    @YEN
    Dear Yen
Thx for your answer, but my main problem is, that ACER is not willing to help me in this concern.
They say, there will never be a new BIOS, because the TM 4000 series was never meant to be running VISTA.
Well, it does a great job, it is even running faster than XP, but I have no bat, which means that I have to guess how much bat is left, and sometimes the screen goes blank without saving the work.
    That is ****!
I just need some help to integrate my bat into the Smart Battery Subsystem.
    And I don't know how.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards,
    Maschdel
I have both, the MS ACPI conform controll method battery, as well as the Smart Battery Subsystem successfully integrated in my Device Manager.
But there is still no bat monitoring in the power icon.
It keeps saying: No battery detected.
Although the Device Manager says, everything works great with the bat.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This mod could brick your motherboard, yes. And if you are out of luck, there will be no chance to recover with original bios, yes.

The only way then will be to replace bios chip on board.
It's up to you! This is my first mod that got a error on rebuild, so I don't know exactly what will happen.
