    Hi chinaforever,
    Is it possible to try one more time HP DV2000 F25 bios? I reported a while ago thet the 2 mods did not work. I know, it's probably one of the hardest ones...if there is no way to make it work, I'll wait till I get a full bios from someone.
    Thanks

    @ALL

    Hi guys. I'd like to say to any user of this forum, or any other looking here for a modded bios that, as I'll be away from pc due to a lot of work, I'll mod sure requested bios (but there is also the great support of my friend XBIOSES), but by now I'll use 2 different methods for AMI and AWARD, called dynamic and super static methods, as the last one seems to offer better chance to work (and it's easier to mod and the risk is lower).

    Regarding very old award bioses (previously to 6.0) or same for ami bioses, I must tell to anyone that hopes to mod them are few, as those bioses have not enough space for adding tables or can't be edited by standard tools and programs I have. Of course, ask anyway but don't expect miracles.

    That's all, must come back to work now. See you soon. Enjoy.....!!!

    Sure, but if I ´ve read this thread correctly, no one of them is confirmed to work. I´ve modded this one with super static method and provided instruction links to my good friend China4Ever.
    Correct me if one of the mods is confirmed to work already. I will not get in modding, only try to help in difficult cases.

    Ok, I didn´t find "Vista = activated" reported and "this computer did not install Vista" sounded to me like he wasn´t actually able to install Vista anymore....

    You ´re right, SLIC @Everest is practically 100% activation, I know.

    Well... not all here speak English like you, what he wanted to say is: "I don't have Vista installed, I will install later..."

    I can't mod you bios I don't know how, but you can ask Yen, he likes to do difficult bios, maybe he can help you.

    You need to know few things and I decided to explain them to you.

    1) Not all bioses are editable.

    2) Even award, ami and phoenix bios are not all editable.

    Regarding your case, Dell uses a very strange algorythm and it can't be recognized by Phoenix Bios Editor, like any other editor except few ones, which are AMI in the whole structure (or Award).

    Even using WinPlash and dumping dell bios in .WPH format (phoenix bios preferred form) it can't be edited, that's all.

    Maybe someone or any other chinese genius will solve this issue also for dell bioses but at the present time nothing can be done to it.
    I'm very sorry, but you'll need to use alternative methods, like vista loader, paradox or similar tools in order to activate windows vista.
