times ne question about the new UpdatePack7R2-20.3.12, is this patch already included so that windows7 continues to be supplied with updates, or do I still need KB4528069-Lite?
30.3.12 has our MDL IMI-Kurwica WU patcher integrated, we can't test till next ESU updates appear in April. And the most current and advised version to use is ESU Bypass v5, but is already in the 20.3.12 pack.
Updated the OP with UpdatePack7R2-20.3.12.exe Updated the MDL SiMPLiX AiO tool Full download: SiMPLiX_AiO_ISO_Full_Tool_2_0_20.3.12.zip
If I apply simplix to an existing windows installation that has received all the Microsoft updates up to 3 months ago, will simplix still disable telemetry? Or do i have to start removing all the relevant KB's manually? Simplix applied 11 updates but didn't report removing/disabling anything
The pack now uses a similar script to block telemetry (not removing updates anymore) like @abbodi1406 his script, so it should work in your scenario.
are you talking about optimization of final wim created via simplixed iso tool or not to clean up mount points of all function of the project
i havent seen any disk cleaner tool to clean up the disk using simplixed iso tool created by you . in last it only optimized the final aio.install wim & renamed it to install.wim
Once again, the question regards running the updatepack on a LIVE system. After all the updates are installed, the updatepack executes disk cleanup. This is what can't be turned off, as stated above. /Optimize switch for offline integration is irrelevant in this case.
I don't know where to ask so I am asking here My current laptop is running windows 10ltsc but it very slow for my old laptop which have Pentium processor so I want to go back to windows 7 The problem is microsoft is already discontinued the window 7 so is it fine to install 7 And I don't want to upgrade to windows 10 so any way to stop that and get the update Also I don't have iso of 7(I deleted while back thinking that I will not need it lol) so where to look and active it I tried to find here but I found lot of threads so I got confused lol
Hehe.. Just check @shhnedo signature(stock ISO) or ask him if he has a copy of trimmed and optimized Win 7 devoid of telemetry. Updated ISOs of W7 are fairly huge say 5.1GB with multiple editions after decades of updates. Win 10 gets obnoxiously huge after a year of applying CU packages over stock images say 5.1GB or more unless some UWP apps are removed and trim to 4.8GB or less.
The subject of this thread IS a tool that updates the ISO or live installs and deals with telemetry. An AiO tool for utilizing SiMPLiX updatepack can be found here (iso will be 3.x GB): MDL Win 7 Tool for SiMPLiX UpdatePack AiO ISO (with install.wim/esd) Creation Win 7 ISO can be downloaded by SVF Repo from @GezoeSloog, which is in the sig you mentioned.
Ya I read it and it was too much for me to understand I just want to install w7 with no upgrade to w10(plz explain in short and easy language)
I think when I explain it'll be complicated by 10x. Summary: You need to download MDL Win 7 Tool (1.3GB) plus download stock Win 7 SP1 ISO and put those on SSD and you can read Readme.txt to first run Simplix.bat then Cleanup scripts to remove update cache and stuffs like that (Dism Rebase in 8.1 or 10) to trim WIM files and then trim unneeded editions to slim down win 7 to under 4GB. It will take time though. I believe what I'm saying is flying out of your head. I'd suggest asking @shhnedo if he has a trimmed and debloated W7 with 2019 or 2020 patched ISOs. I do have a link from a friend of mine called scarface who made Win 7 ISO its huge now because he has added most drivers and tweaks.
