Yes. But it could be some version Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 ESU still continue Like Windows Vista, it could get ESU hotfix this month If it just follow Server 2008 ESU, there were no ESU support after January this year.
... nope please read bypass esu post any windows 7 64 bits only can use server 2008R2 update ( end of esu update software assurance are 10.2026 ) Windows 7 32 bits any edition are end of life this years https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...dates-eligibility.80606/page-407#post-1855625 All members of MDL read this before ....
Only @simplix knows if he will continue the updatepacks, it's his project, this thread is only the english support thread.
If you continue, you could throw out the 32bit files next month. It slims the pack, and 32bit users can always use the October 2024 pack, anyway, 32bit is static now.
Yes, it's like the 32 bits Win 7 updates are over. Win Server 2008 R2 is 64 bit only, so all future updates will be like this, like with Win 8.1 when Embedded Enterprise Edition updates ended (and with it the 32-bit updates)
I know this is a very bad first post to make (I lurk here), but how does an ISO generated by this tool differ than one generated by the old Integrate7 utility? Sometimes in my free time I end up obsessing over having every W7 update in one, nice ISO. Also, are multi-architecture ISOs supported? Integrate7 didn't support them, I hope this tool does so I can use 1 flash drive instead of 2 (don't say Ventoy, any setupcomplete.cmd will be inaccessible that way). I also wonder if this tool supports creating UEFI+BIOS x86 x64 ISOs. No (Intel) machines come with CSM anymore. Integrate7 did UEFI but the "Press any key" message was broken.
The difference will be mostly in amount of updates(simplix utilizes the rollup from 2016, so less updates integrate in total), tweaks and drivers/third party stuff. Usually an iso drag&dropped onto the simplix updatepack with the visual c++/directx/.net4.8 addons present in the folder will be completely up-to-date and ready to use. Haven't tested multi-arch isos myself but I don't believe those are supported. This would be the tool you need: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-for-7-10-with-install-wim-install-esd.82131/ But here you'll need to provide the updated x86 and x64 windows 7 isos plus x86 and x64 windows 10 isos(you can delete their install.wims to save space, they are not needed). Updatepack7r2 does nothing in regards to uefi/bios booting. It just makes an up-to-date iso, which is perfectly bootable on, for example, an 8th gen board like asrock H310M-HDV with csm enabled. No csm means you need to modify the iso.
Thanks for the response. Must've gotten the whole multi-arch thing from this thread (https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-aio-iso-with-install-wim-esd-creation.79421/) which uses this tool I guess.
The tool mentioned only utilizes the simplix packs, the tool itself doesn't support multi-arch ISOs either but you can create a multi-arch ISO by first creating the x64 ISO and the x86 ISOs separately and feed them to the multi_arch_iso.cmd from UUP > ISO or ESD > ISO.
@BetaTesta you should probably hold off for a couple of days. Patch Tuesday is tomorrow, simplix is usually fast with his releases.
