lets just assume i'm thick and chances are i am, however i have managed to mod my own bios(award for strikerII formula) using bbpubkey.bin and bbmarker.bin, now i see in the above sticky that there is a SLIC 2.1 bin collection, how would i use for example the ACER***.bin file to mod my bios to SLIC 2.1 ?

In which case was easy. I took original Acer bios with SLIC v2.0, decompile with PBE 2.2, change ACPI7.ROM for the Acer 2.1 BINs downloaded from here (renamed it to ACPI7.ROM and copied into PBE\TEMP folder, then recompile BIOS. It was harder finding a way to flash BIOS from inside Windows 7 x64, in the end I had to create a bootable USB pen drive...
