    thank you yen, i have been reading that it should work. i dont know if its worth putting it on the main hd. backup my 7 and try it that way with vm i just get error and set memory to 1024 and 25g. i even tried 64 bit and 86 with same result thank you.

    No that won't change anything. There is something with the CPU settings. Have you special (CPU) settings at your BIOS? Or are they default?

    thank you mr yen that done the job. f7 optimize default reset that and w10 went straight on the 500g hd so 1 and half days messing about and a new hd. so i suppose w10 section now thank you all for your help.

    what do i do just press f9 to go from 1 hd to the other.
